  1. We live in Madison and my six year old girl called from grandma's to say it's snowing. More like a dusting here.
  2. I love this site. Walmart on Nolensville and Old Hickory (I believe) is featured. It has the valet parking.
  3. I'm sure $5 is all his mom allows him to spend.
  4. This quote came to mind from The Terminator: "The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy. " Question though; does this model pose any... possible electrocution hazards?
  5. Like Mom always said "God loves fools."
  6. Never bring a gun to a snowball fight. I love how the spokes-cop says that a snowball fight isn't a type of situation to pull a sidearm out and I agree but who hasn't been hit in the head with a snowball with a nice rock center. When we had snow in Davidson County, once upon a time, we did that a lot and I can still hear my mom saying "You better knock that ***** off before someone gets hurt". Usually that someone was me. With anti-war fruits around, one would think there had to be a more justifiable reason for the unholstering of his weapon. The Washington Post makes a point in stating that "gas guzzling Hummers became a particular target which is what the detective was driving. On the global warming irony; I wonder how DC is liking it's heat wave right now?
  7. I remember when this first happened. I was surprised (don't know why) that the case was dropped. It was pretty open and shut with the footage of Mr. Dred's being menacing with his billy club.
  8. What is that for? Baby gangsta's or to curb the growing mosquito menace?
  9. Holy crap! Don't breathe!! So my son is killing the environment when he uses his CO2 pistol for target practice? What a bigger joke the gov't is becoming. Honestly, could weapons or ammo be further behind?
  10. He, and in particular his voice, was always grating to me and more so after the leg tingle.
  11. Colt or SA M1911A1 AR15 in 5.56 Remington 870 Taurus 24/7 9mm Ruger Mini 30
  12. I got halfway through and then thought "Hey, you haven't had supper yet, stupid!" and then I stopped.
  13. You, sir, are THE MAN! I was force feed The Color Purple back in high school in '90 and I still feel dirty to this day. TPAC hasn't had anything good in a while. I envy my wife as she's been to Le Miz and Phantom and we've actually discussed how awesome it would be if Wicked actually came. My Fair Lady was my father-in-law's favorite Broadway musical movie and play. Me? I'm torn between Big Jake and It's a Wonderful Life.
  14. Reminds me of something Yosemite Sam once said, "Quiet! I'ma thinking! And my head hurts!" I'm not a big buyer of books but I may get The Fountainhead as my special Christmas gift. You can't go wrong with paperback. I was overly motivated to hear that a film was being made from Atlas Shrugged but when I discovered that Charlize Theron is slated to play Dagney Taggart it pretty much me put off. I prefered the rumor of Angelina Jolie over Theron and I'm not a fan Jolie to any major extent. Makes me wonder who'd be cast for Ragnar Danneskjold or Hank Reardon? Danny Devito could be James Taggart. lmao
  15. I never miss an election. I didn't believe in moral responsiblities as a kid but voting is definitely that for me as an adult.
  16. Atlas Shrugged is freaking awesome and freaking looooong but well worth the time spent. Even though we aren't as dependant on a railway system, it's still very prevelant in todays world. I have to read The Fountainhead next and that should have been first. Wesley Mouch can be used as an adjective if you try hard enough. IE: Nancy Pelosi is such a Wesley Mouch
  17. Tammy Bruce podcast from yesterday's show.
  18. Thank you all. It is a pleasure to be here.
  19. I'm from Nashville, living in Madison have a wife, Tabitha and three kids; Christopher, Sarah and Emily. My first firearm was an offbrand SAA knock off that to this day I can't remember who made it but I loved it none the less. I traded it up for a TZ-75, before buying a Llama Max-I 1911 knockoff that served me well. I then traded the TZ for a Colt 1991A1 which I still miss. I sold it because at the time the wife was uncomfortable around it but that's different now. She owns a Taurus Millennium Pro 9mm and I a 9mm Ruger P95PR. I shoot as a hobby and when I can afford range time I go to Academy for Self Protection to use their range. It's where we bought our pistols and I've always been pleased with them. We mostly keep to ourselves and as it's been pointed out recently, I am a bit suspicious so I thought I would intro myself. I joined the forum in hopes of furthering my knowledge by reading the advice of those more in the know than I am about future reloading and the best type ammo to buy. I use search options more than I rely on new threads. Saves the hassle of looking stupid and embarrassing oneself. Thanks for having me aboard and Happy Thanksgiving.
  20. My wife bought the Millennium Pro in 9mm and loves it dearly. The recoil is a bit more than my Ruger P95 but that's to be expected from the shorter barrel. I've fired it and I think it's pretty good for carry/concealed.
