Not to worry. Mayor Briley's gonna clean up the town, get rid of all these war like guns, bring peace & harmony among his people. O' course he's not going to mess with the lunatics though, they're not the problem, guns are.

I'd like to kick his sissy butt.....just saying.

Let’s not forget that Nashville is one of the very few cities in the country where crime is actually exploding. Once the far left took over and quit letting cops do their job, it’s been insane . I mean on what planet should the police be required to spend as much time patrolling low/no crime areas as high crime areas just so people in high crime areas can feel better about themselves and not have their feelings hurt ?

I have another question that I am hhoping some ex or active LEO K-9 Officer can answer for me cause I don't understand this. When the K-9 is on a trail and is in persuit of a suspect like yesterday I know K-9 dogs are trained to take down and assailent why when the dog strikes the trail to they continue to keep the dog leashed? If they were to release the dog it could close on the bad guy much quicker, take the guy down and keep him down till help arrives. Being kept on the leash would make it easy for the officer to change directions and take the dog off the scent trail. I think that is exactly what happened yesterday........JMHO

I talked to an officer about it just this morning . He said they couldn’t use the dogs in the weather .

I don't know if he is still alive or dead but if dead I hope he burns in Hell and if alive I hope he is dead soon and burns in Hell. I hope his father is arrested after he is sued to the hilt by family members here and broke and living on the street!!!!

Don’t be wishing that on him. I don’t want him going to the same place as me.

On another note, I'm really surprised he hasn't been caught yet. How far can a naked man possibly go on foot?

I’m betting he killed himself in the woods . The weather makes using the dogs tough and if he shot himself , his body temp will match his surroundings, so IR won’t work .

Mr Mayor, this man was unlawfully in possession of the AR. So obviously both he and his father were willing to break the law. The same as all other criminals that kill people. So your answer is to disarm law abiding citizens that are the very last chance our citizens have to live?

I’m seeing the latest drug crisis is taking up a lot of time on the news. Possession of all of these drugs without a prescription is illegal; in most cases a felony. Other than having a brand new group of criminals to put in prison; how would outlawing guns be any different?

    Nashville needs a new Mayor.

When assholes like briley talk about gun control , they never talk about disarmament of criminals or doing door to doors in the hood. Nope , their answers are always to disarm the most law abiding citizens in the country. It’s not even about violence to them . The real goal is reliance on the government for everything including your own self defense .

I have almost never seen our police prevent a crime from occurring. That’s not their role . They are only there to investigate and apprehend after the crime has already occurred. If that’s our only defense , we’re all screwed.

  6. You could call David at Cajun Gun Works to see what he can do to this nugget.
I sent my 75B Omega to him, internals only, very pleased.
A custom holster can be commissioned through TGO.
After powering down to .380, I did some research and Shootingthebull410 found Precision One a top performer.
If your 82 cycles modern JHP, this may be an option.

I’ve inquired at Cajun gunworks. They won’t touch an 82/83. Angus hobdell will play with it at czcustom but no promises, he’s more of a 75 afficianado (he a super good dude . Met him at the nra convention.)

Have you considered the Sig P938? You can get walnut (cherry, maple, cocobolo, etc) grips for it on eBay for about $25. I have two sets for my P938.  It's 18 ounces. You can have it cerakoted in any finish you like.

I have a p238. It’s a good little pistol. Actually been thinking of selling and reinvesting in a p938 or another shield for my wife . I’m still thunking on it.

I know the p238 is 1911-esque. That being said , I’ve had zero malfunctions out of that little pistol. I’m just not a huge fan of 7 rounds of .380.

Barrel Crown ???? Sorry, not familiar with the term, is that the end of barrel where the projectile exits.

I don't visibly seen any damage there if that is the case.

Some of the less expensive manufacturers crown the barrel from a lathe using the outside of the barrel as a guide. The problem is rarely that the inside of the barrel is exactly the center. If that’s the case , it wouldn’t be an obvious flaw.

And yes, the crown is the end of the barrel where the projectile last touches rifling .

  9. Safe Queens? Not hardly. All mine get regular attention, though not as much lately due to health issues. Although I do prefer striker firing pistols for normal carry, I do take the MKIII out some. I actually find it easer to carry than some of my other pistols. They do go in the "house gun" rotation as well. It's surprising where you can conceal a pistol around here. lol

My “house gun” is my 870 plus whatever I took off my belt. My car gun is an XDm 3.8 .45. That being said , I love BPH’s just not sure where they fit in the rotation.
As an aside, my CZ82 (did i mention i love this “fill in the blank with your preferred dirty word”ing pistol?) would likely find more time if I could find decent holsters . Basically I’m doomed to using my “not as cheap as it should have been” NRA reversible slide.

I see several mistakes made from Law Enforcement /FBI to a stupid father knowing his son is a nut and they all have him on a watch list. The State of Illinois revokeed his firearms card which means he is not allowed to own or have one in his possession and his dumb azz Father gives them back to him. I think the father should be arrested for giving him back to him knowing he is not allow to have them...............JMHO

It seems that the father was likely breaking the law by transferring them to him. If in Illinois, against state law . If he transferred in Tennessee , against federal law for transferring across state lines . Someone correct me if I’m wrong .

Can you disprove the theory that a lot of these recent events may have been choreographed for a political reason?

You can’t prove a negative. It’s not up to people to disprove a conspiracy but rather the conspiracy theorist’s job is  to prove the conspiracy beyond doubt .

  12. I’ve never actually own a BHP. Maybe one day I’ll buy weapons that are destined to become safe queens again but not right now. I do love the look and I’ve loved it when I have shot them in the past. It just wouldn’t be a weapon I would carry around for hours on end.

Hudson is going to introduce a lightweight version of their H9.  While the aesthetics of it are debatable, it should fit your criteria.

I’d never heard of the H9 before I just looked it up. That’s an interesting design , for sure. 34oz is a bit on the heavy side but I really like the thought processes in it . Hmmmmm???

Have you shot a P239? Dead nuts accurate, and so comfy IWB. Mine was purchased as a 40 and shot maybe 10 rounds until my 357 sig mags and barrel arrived. My favorite concealed gun in the best cartridge out there. :devil:

If "near Nashville" means the south side please give me a shout if you would like to swing by and touch of a mag or 3

    Mark

I’m on the north side (Goodlettsville) . I’m always ready to go shooting and show off how bad I am since I had to rock my progressive lenses.

You never had/found a 1911 that could shoot 200+ rounds without a failure? How many did you try - only 1 Colt /1 springfield? Not calling BS, just find that pretty bad odds.
I just don't think it would be hard to find a good 1911 that would run reliably for hundreds, if not thousands of rounds.

Well , that’s not entirely true. I’ve never had an officer size that would run it. I did have two that would . They were both government size (an old DW before CZ bought them out and a RIA) but they both felt like an anvil pulling on the side of my pants. I carried that DW for a long time before I found pistols I liked better and were more comfortable. I traded it about 10 years ago for an arsenal AK and 3 cases of Ammo before the prices went out the roof. CZ bought them out and immediately every DW doubled in value. Much regret (not for trading it , but trading it so cheap).
As a side note , the DW is the only weapon I ever pulled in a defensive situation (August 8 2003 in Savannah , GA). Learned three things that day: 1) you can be walking in a good neighborhood in that town and suddenly find yourself in the ghetto 2) 1911’s make would be robbers run like their asses are on fire screaming “I told you that white boy prolly had a gun” 3) women look good in high heels until they end up bloody trying to walk on 200 year old cobblestones in them .
