Agreed.  What I meant to say is that we've got to get the right folks on the bench at SCOTUS in this presidential term.  We may not have another chance for a long long time.

There’s rumors that Kennedy will retire this year . They’ll definitely need to get someone on the court before November, if he does .

In 2007 S&W purchased Thompson Center, in 2010 S&W closed the Thompson Center facility and moved everything to Springfield. So my WAG is that if you needed something there would be someone available.

I guess that’s probably about right . I had bought a rifle and it was missing a dead screw from wear the front sight was mounted . It took me months to get that damned screw.

I know a while back Thompson ans S&W went through some "restructuring." Perhaps that was it?

Not sure . They had one girl working in the office . I think her entire job consisted of answering the phone to say “welcome to Thompson center . No , we can’t help you with anything until x-month arrives and I’m the only one here right now “

  4. Thompson makes fine rifles , however my customer service experience has been less than sterling. Not sure about now , but several years ago they would literally shut down for months at a time . Try and get something done during that time and you were screwed . It was bizarre at best.

  5. I don’t wish a fire upon any building or business (my home could be next ).

One common misconception is that merely being an employee of a weapons related business makes one an expert in all things weapons related . This is no more true than expecting an employee at McDonald’s to know everything about raising cattle. Simply educating the employee politely is probably a better choice than being “offended” and wishing bad things to happen to him and the business he works in.

That being said , I do not believe that all weapons related businesses have been strong advocates for the shooting public, especially during the “bad times “. In fact, most have cannibalized themselves and us during those times. There have been very few that have not manipulated the system , one way or another, during the “panics “ to maximize profits and rarely , if ever , for the benefit of the customer. Many are now paying for it during “good times “ but not by fires and destruction, but rather those of us with long memories who choose to whom we give our money .

  6. That's not how I interpreted their message. Have they ever sold magazines over 10 rounds?

Honestly , I don’t know . I’ve never bought any mags from them . Only experience with them was buying some binocs several years ago .
I’m not sure who to buy from , anymore . I’ve lost trust in many folks I’ve done business with in the past , for a variety of reasons .
