  1. Going hunting tomorrow, and was planning on donating any kills to Hunters-for-the-Hungry, but cant get hold of any processors in my area. C&F is the closest, but they only open till 3 on Sat and closed on Sunday. Any late kills might go to waste and I dont have a deep freezer.

If I cant located a hunters-for-the-hungry drop-off location and you could use the meat and would be willing to meet up somewhere to collect a deer in the South Nashville/Franklin area, PM me.

  2. agreed... but the custom bulletproofing jobs they do on those cars is awesome.

this episode they outfitted some busenessman's suv with complete hidden armor and pushbutton road tacks and oil dispensing as well as a smokescreen system. cool :hat:

  3. I'm pretty new too. I just asked a bunch of stupid questions and got some great input from the veterans on this site.

Read here for a list of public hunting land: http://www.state.tn.us/twra/pdfs/wmaseasons.pdf

Get some good hunting books, watch a lot of Versus and spend a lot of time outdoors watching.

Also TNdeer is a good resource, I got several "tag-along" offers there: Tennessee Deer Talk: Viewing list of forums

  4. It's encouraging to hear these remarks, but if the truth were known, I bet that 90% of these folks voted for Obama. They were made to feel like an Oreo if they didn't vote for him. Glenn asked the group who voted for BO, and I didn't see the show of hands -- what was it?

These folks are very sharp and they need to be convincing their family and friends of the truth about this administration. BO has not brought the change that anyone wanted or voted for, at least those who aren't Marxists or Socialists.

most of them said they did vote for Obama. during the show, Glenn asked for a show of hands. most of the hands wend up.

  5. Does anyone know of a gun shop, located in TN, that CURRENTLY offers either in-store or consumer financing for "assault rifles" ? Based on the $$$ credit I can get, I am looking to purchase an AR-15 or an M1A-Socom 16.

terrible idea. if you have to borrow the money, you dont need the gun. period.

these things are expensive enough already, why would you want to pay MORE in interest and finance charges?! :)

listen to Mutt & Motasyco. thank them later.

  6. I'm sorry but your definition of conservative and mine must differ greatly. This is the same Huckabee that raised taxes and signed anti-gun laws in AR correct?

I'm not sure, but I dont think so.

Second Amendmen is about freedom, not about hunting

Q: You introduced yourself to New Hampshire voters this way, “Here’s a guy who didn’t just read the latest issue of NRA Magazine and decide he’s going to be for the Second Amendment.†A: Voters want someone whose views on the Second Amendment understand that the basic issue is one of freedom and it’s not hunting.

Owns firearms; enjoys hunting; supports 2nd amendment

My position on the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution is as clear for me as the position held by most journalists toward the 1st Amendment. While I do not consider myself a “gun nut,†I proudly own a variety of firearms and enjoy hunting as well as sports shooting. But even if I were not a hunter or did not enjoy shooting, I would still be a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment right of Americans to own firearms for self-protection and as a matter of principle. There are 700,000 physicians in the US and the number of accidental deaths caused by them per year is 120,000, making the accidental death rate per physician 17%. Using the same logic, there are about 80 million gun owners, and the number of accidental gun deaths per year among all age groups is 1,500. The same calculation reveals the number of accidental deaths per gun owner to be 0.00188%. In other words, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 more times more dangerous than gun owners. Yet, I hear no one suggesting we ban doctors.

    Supports self-defense and ‘castle doctrine’

Gov. Mike Huckabee said that he would support legislation in Arkansas for a law like one passed in Florida last year to protect citizens who use deadly force in self-defense against criminal prosecution and civil liability. Huckabee told a caller to his monthly radio show that he has a permit to carry a concealed weapon and believes “there is an absolute right that people have to protect themselves and even their property.â€During the show, a caller asked the governor what he thought of Florida’s so-called “Castle Doctrine.†Passed last year, the law states that any person has the right to “stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm.†The name of the law is drawn from the adage that a man’s home is his castle. “Personally, I think it’s the way it ought to be,†Huckabee said. “We ought to have the right to protect ourselves.â€
