  1. I made an error in the quantity... Small is in stock. We have 5 of them (well, 4 because I pulled one for you). If you want it, just paypal me the $6.00 to support@tngunowners.com and I'll combine the shipping.

David - the XL arrived today and looks great! Thanks! Any idea when the small is going to arrive? I assumed they would be in the same package since you said you were going to combine shipping but it wasnt. :D

  2. Im in sales... so I have a softspot for DTD salesdudes.. but I draw the line at dishonesty or dumb/unprepared pitches. I always tell them I dont make decisions at my doorstep and ask for their phone number and some info to take a look at. They usually can provide neither.

  3. I looked at it closely. Had a DTD salesman come by and said they were installing it in my area and if I buy from him.. I get free installation and no charge for addt boxes, something the website couldn't offer. I said I would look into it and get back to him, even though Im not a DSL fan (not what he wanted to hear).

So I called the company. Turns out I could get free installation through their website but additional boxes were extra. Nice work DTD salesguy. And the HD stream limit was bothersome.

The coup de grace came when I told the guy on the phone to go ahead and do it and I would try them out for a while and see if I liked it. The tech showed up to install 3 or 4 days later and tested the fiber. The signal was so weak he said there was no way it would work. We talked for a while and he said they were having trouble all over the place. If you are not right next to the VRAD hub, it wouldnt work. I asked him where the hub was and he pointed down the street.. like 20 houses down. I said thanks for your time and went back to enjoying Comcast HD.

  4. Nice work boys. Time to do it here now. :D

NRA sues to overturn new Seattle ban on guns in city parks

The National Rifle Association and three other gun-rights groups are suing the city of Seattle to try to overturn a new ban on guns in city parks, The Seattle Times reports.

The ban, which took effect this month, is aimed at protecting children and applies to city playgrounds, community centers, sports fields, swimming pools and water-play areas, according to Mayor Greg Nickels, who is also named in the suit.

"The city is acting illegally in putting a ban into effect," said Alan Gottlieb, with the Second Amendment Foundation, one of the plaintiffs . "Lots of people in Seattle need firearms for self-protection."

Other plaintiffs include two Department of Correction workers who say they need to protect themselves from criminals and a gay rights leader who says he carries a concealed weapon out of concern he might be a victim of hate-related crimes, The Times says.

The newspaper says state records show there are 238,994 concealed-weapons permits in the state, including 48,838 in King County.

Washington is an "open-carry" state and does not require residents to have a concealed-weapons permit as long as the guns are in plain view, The Times says.

Guns are restricted from such places as schools, jails and mental institutions. LINK
