  1. kinda like this! YouTube - Democrats on Escalator
  2. Many will die, rather than flee (a la Katrina). They will not believe it can happen, and if it does, they will not have the capacity (mental or physical) or the resources to act. They will sit and wait for help to come where they are. That said - TN is a pretty good survival state. Most of the South is. Half my family lives in Alaska though - Ive been there a few times. They live in a much higher survival mode that most of us on a regular basis. They are more prepped than I, but they need to be - survival is harder in Alaska. TN is pretty temperate. Vast resources, with pretty good rain and not overlly populated.
  3. Yes - they are snowy bigfoots.. Hopefully this movie will touch on possible Yeti attack in the coming collapse. OhShoot seems to think they are our "friends" .. I have my doubts. Maybe OhShoot is a yeti? hmmm...

  6. well.. here is one on gunbroker with a buyitnow price of $550. Here is one that didnt sell at $550 ($550 is too high) Gunbroker is often way over market value.. but that gives you a range on the high side.

  8. I was looking heavily at SKS's a month or so ago. A good Russian is well over $400. You can get Norinkos and other chinese in the $300-ish range.. Yugos a bit less. I found a nice Norinco chromelined for $250 in KY.
  9. You forgot Yetis, Mike. Dont forget the Yetis.

  11. I just wonder how much of this is going to be legit and how much is tin-foil sensationalism.. I can say at first glance, this looks to be pretty well done. We will see I guess.
  12. Talk about a REAL horror movie. This looks interesting/frightening. Id like to see this if it comes to a theater nearby. YouTube - Collapse Movie Trailer Collapse Movie Collapse (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

  19. ^This was addressed in the 5th post of this thread. Tennessee is 3rd LOWEST overall taxed state in the Country, bested by only NH and AK (2007 data). That is the bottom line. You go anywhere else, and for the most part, you will be taxed more. Period.
  20. Would the wind still make a difference if we are that high up in the air?
  21. good advice guys - thanks.
  22. Ticks are still out, picked up a few yesterday in the field. Just on the pants though. Long pants, high socks, and a good check afterwards and you should be ok.
  23. Ok.. well - heres an update. I bought a trailcam and set it up right at that cut-through between the two fields. There were a TON of tracks there! There's rolling water and it seems to be a "highway" for wildlife. Also the high grass in the field toward the North was all broken and matted down all over the place. I didnt linger - set up the camera and got out. I'll check it next week.. hopefully I will get some good pics with date/timestamps so I can tell whats moving where and when. Here is the plan. About 100 yards to the west of the "cut-through" is a barn and a 14' tall storage trailer. I think that will make a perfect place to sit on top of and glass the entire field, treeline, "cut-through", and western property boundary. Hopefully its high enough so that we wont smell and spook anything either. What do you think?
