  1. I'd generally agree, but I'd like to know what investments you found elsewhere that immediately doubled your money (employer match) right from the start
  2. Here's my take on it. IMHO, an under-seat gun safe with a numeric keypad would be my choice to leave locked... and were they to search the vehicle, I would simply say that the previous vehicle owner had that installed and you don't know the combination nor do you know how to get into it.
  3. Well, at least you're honest
  4. You're always free to pile up that much cash under your mattress and pay cash for your next home instead. Otherwise - I'd hardly call it a "rip off" considering lenders are agreeing to let you borrow LARGE sums of money for VERY LONG periods of time (15-30 years). If you offer better rates, I'd like to borrow $200k from you at about 1% if you're willing
  5. No, it is not conjecture. Terry Hoskins demolishes house to stop bank foreclosing and selling it | The Daily Telegraph What this means is the guy didn't pay taxes to the IRS, and there are other debts rolled into this problem, not just the house. Again, this confirms there is more involved here than just the amounts given in the article. Frustrated Owner Bulldozes Home Ahead Of Foreclosure - Cincinnati News Story - WLWT Cincinnati A decade long struggle between him and the bank over his home? Yet again - clearly there are bigger issues here, because there would be no struggle if he was paying his house note and that was all that was owed. And check out this comment left on another news site: Facing Bank Foreclosure, Ohio Businessman Terry Hoskins Bulldozes His Home And Pool Instead (VIDEO,PHOTOS) - Home - The Daily Bail Another reader comment from the same link: So... you guys still think it's "funny"? Still think it's a poor working stiff who is being "held down by the man"? I sure don't...
  6. Thanks for taking the tome to write up a response... The world is changed by those who show up and DO something
  7. I personally don't find it funny because stunts like that drive up the cost for all of the rest of us as banks have to absorb the losses incurred. If he only owed $160k, and it was *supposedly* worth $350k, there is no reason he couldn't have sold it for somewhere just south of $200k, paid off the bank, and still pocketed some equity. As it stands - he is now out the $160k, and probably will be sued for the damages he did. Like several others already said... there is a LOT more to this story... i.e. - he owed the bank a LOT more money than he is letting on.
  8. You did it again (that whole "not answer, and ask me a question instead").
  9. You avoided the question again.
  10. Whether I agree or not about competency - what Constitutional grounds do you have for the government having that power to determine said competency?
  11. I agree it was easy. I think it should be easier... no - scratch that, non-existent.
  12. So do you not want to answer my question as to why you think there should be further restrictions on our God given rights?
  13. Personally, I think we should take a cue card from the liberals, and combat "sex education" in schools with gun education in schools. Teach all children what a gun is, how it works, and what it can do. Remove the mystery from guns. Then there is no need for a silly adult HCP class, right?
  14. I have taken the class, thanks.
  15. So you want further unconstitutional restrictions on our God-given rights? Why?
  16. I liked it Know where I can download the ringtone?

    Bersa 45

What are you unsure of? Love my Bersa Thunder 380 - wish they hadn't jumped in price when everyone figured out they were a good gun at a GREAT price.
  18. This is great to hear, considering my wife and I got our prints done this evening
  19. I sure wish finding Bersa mag's didn't require a 2nd mortgage on my house...
  20. Nothing significant out of the .380 boxes I have shot... it went bang when it was supposed to.
  21. Yes. And it pains me to be in agreement with him on several principles - but not with how or what he ends up doing.
  22. Those three things seal the deal for me, IMHO.
  23. So what is the going price for these things?
  24. Worst case - it goes back in the closet and both of you are only out a little time... Best case a swap works out and everything's all rainbows and kittens.
  25. I giggled a little at that last part
