Pretty knife! Don't get me started on Benchmade. Just now have my Hinderer broken in good.

Those things are fun. I have one from the same line. Quad rail and buffer tube accept real AR parts. So, I stuck an MOE stock, Eotech, and weapon light on mine.

He could have worded it better. But, fact is that if somebody kicks in your front door, you better fear for your life. And, shooting for center mass IS shooting to kill. But, slap a little lawyer slime on it, and you can go to prison for letting the wrong word slip.
The local sheriff used the same wording with my girl here after somebody broke into her house... "shoot to kill". Shocked me when she told me that.

They are slowly getting rid of them. They got pronouns and stuff to replace the well trained.

I remember reading the various threads you guys had running then, and learned a lot from the group.
A couple of us that shot together were learning to cast and powder coat (even 7.62x39 bullets) and Dolo and Caster were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Probably still have notes from back then.
Yeah, sorry to drift off on the 5.56/.223. Interesting reading though.
Glad to hear Mr. David is on this side of the green. I wish him and his well.
David confirmed last night that he sold Magnum. Gordon sent me some powder coated .458 bullets awhile back. Don't know if he did them personally. Haven't heard from Caster in years.

Your post kinda reads like you were going to post a pic of the label. Maybe I'm misreading it.
There used to be a great guy on here (back in the "Dolomite" days), Mr.David (DLM or DLM37015) iirc
that ran the gunshow circuit with his daughter (Sam?). He was a wealth of information on surplus powders...so was Dolo.
I haven't seen any postings from or about them in years (and wish them the best) but you may find something doing a deep dive search on here, or the interwebs in general. Having the numerical data, lot number etc, could prove helpful if you have that available.
Good luck in your search.
There are no lot numbers. The 842 came from Lake City. It was military pull down ammo. When the shelf life ran out, they would send it to Lake City, where they would pull the bullets, collect the powder, and then sell it off. David bought tons of that stuff. All the brass was primed. I have a lot of that too.

I found David's number and gave him a call. He remembers that powder, didn't get very much of it. Said to use 1680 or 2015BR data starting at 25% less. Can't remember anything else about it.
Yeah. I kinda bumped into him on Facebook. Asked him if his ears were burning. I need to give him a call too.

I’ll never run out of SMP 842.
Like I said, I have a little less than 16 lbs. Works really well for 5.56.

The grift that keeps on grifting.
Now I really think this is just a PR stunt. One that cash flows.
There's ALWAYS money. I haven't figured out the pregnant men yet. But the rest of it has an obvious money trail.

I remain confused. Are we talking about the bulk SMP 842 powder David sold in 8 lb jugs actually labeled as such or “7.62x39” labeled powder that might have come from him?
Where ever he is I hope he’s well. Helluva nice guy and very generous.
Great guy. I'll never run out of blackout brass because of him.

I have almost 16 pounds of 842 left. We found that it wasn't all that close to CFE223. I never got around to using much of it.

If you look up Magnum Materials on facebook, you'll find David, but he hasn't posted on there since last June. It lists a phone number. Call it and see what happens, I guess? If he answers, tell him we were asking about him here on TGO.
I wonder if these folks bought him out or something. Perhaps someone there could answer your question?
I see him on Facebook some. I think he retired. He mentioned missing the business. I'll look back in his posts.
OK... he has been posting quite a bit. Nothing about Magnum. I think he sold it to family.

I purchased this tire thumper and small felling axe in this color to match the colors on my old side by side. They were usually with me on the trails or under the rear floor mats in my Ram, over the rear floor storage compartments that carried matching color ratchet straps, portable air pump, tow straps, tire plugs and tool bag roll. I could always justify having them with me.
I also have a pretty hefty walking stick with a retention strap that I purchased to use when I had jury duty in downtown Memphis. Never a problem with security or the court during the period I served.
Hardcore Hammers! Great stuff.

Remember to treat the nurses well. They know where to stick things and if you "misbehave" you might wind up with Helga from the House of Pain. Don't ask me how I know......
I always get Nurse Poke-it. Can't hit a vein to save her life.

Sat. am Mar 2, I had a serious heart attack. Doctors found too many blockages to put stents. Did put 2. Went from Wilson Vanderbilt to St. Thomas. Nashville. Got home yesterday, doing rather well so far. Will have to do cardiac rehab of recovery .
Never know what the next day will bring.
I've heard St. Thomas is the best in town for heart stuff. Glad you got through it.

AFIK, I can carry all that stuff with my Kentucky license. The laws are real different here. It's called a Concealed Deadly Weapons License. I don't have to pass a background check when I buy a gun either.

If they don’t take action to shrink that board to a size that effective for governance, then nothing can/will change. That’s the key to everything right there.
It will be interesting to see if they come clean with their members.
And FWIW, I still hope Letitia gats a raging incurable yeast infection, if she doesn't already have one. Her intentions were nothing but evil.

Ironically the NYAG might have done more good for the NRA in the long term here than could be had from internal discontent.
Yep. Instead of destroying it, she may have fixed it. The NRA lost my support because of ole Wayne. Now, they have a chance to regain it. They need some new rules first.

I have a bunch of AR's and a Can cannon. They all have great parts (except my A2). I won't be hurting for great rifles if I build a flimsy one.

The weight savings make sense. Id be worried about take down pin holes and trigger pin holes wallowing out. Especially in a 9mm or 308. I did see a hybrid with metal reinforced holes. But again, unless weight is a main issues, I'd prefer an aluminum lower.
If it wasn't for the weight difference, I probably wouldn't own a plastic gun. The New Frontier lower has a lifetime warrantee.

OK. This thread has inspired me. I think I'm going to go for a lightweight AR. The priciest thing will be a low mass BCG. At first glance, the New Frontier Stripped lower and parts kit looks OK. I'll need a light optic too. Any suggestions? I have a Romeo on my closet gun.
And, with my new KY permit, I get to skip the background check.

I have my dad's old Remington 512. Nowhere close to new condition. But, it's the first gun I ever shot.
