What city? I know where there is a factory Gen 3 slide in Chattanooga that has already been milled for RMR. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555047826554&name=xhp_nt__fb__action__open_user

Ed Brown magazines are checkmate magazines and very good in all calibers. There 8 round 45 are longer bodied and bot 7 round magazines made for 8 rounds. I just did the ED B exchange for six 9mm magazines. If you are sending about four or less the exchange isn’t worth it because you pay shipping both ways.

Glad to hear your comment on MecGar mags. Been thinking of some 9mm and looking at them for a source..
Mecgars are supposedly good to go in 9mm, and even in the 10rd 9mm variety.

Wilson Combat are the best in my experience for 45acp. Metalform and ActMag have done well for me. My bad experiences have come from Triple K and Chip McCormick if I load more than six rounds in them. A lot of other mags are Rebranded Checkmate magazines. Kimber, Springfield, Ruger, and Ed Brown are just Checkmates, and they are okay.

I had a RIA 10mm, and I want another one. It was a very reliable range toy. I would have no concerns with depending on it for defense. I probably put 10 times the 40s&w rounds through it than I did the 10mm.

Is the barrel profile smaller on the 44 Spl?

If you still have it Thursday evening I will be up your way for dinner. I should have a good mix of factory 45acp FMJ and hollow points to make it worth it. I may have a few moonclips too.

I love a 45 acp revolver. I will save you all the long, boring story. Frankly, I love big bore revolvers, and the shorter the barrel the better. My newest is a circa 1983 24-3 Lee Horton 44Spl. It came from the same collection as Spot’s new 22 Thunder Ranch.

I know where there is one in a gunshop in Chattanooga if you get down this way. It was priced reasonably. I think it was 700.

You may want to indicate that this is a MOS version. It makes it a great buy considering that.

I’m shocked no one has snatched this one. There is easily a couple hundred worth of extra mags with it.

Price on laser stippled module and both 12 round magazines?

I want it all if available still and you will ship on my dime.

GT distributors has some in their stores and online. I’m thinking the DAK 9mm was $299 in the store.

Is the Gp100 a six shooter or a seven shot?

Not a bad package at all!

I have one that is NIBX. It’s very nice. PM sent.

Cerakote holds okay on polymer frames. I don’t think I will ever mess with another one though. It was kind of costly to just have it look worn after a year. Something I wish I would have tried is taking it back to black using Rit Dye when it showed heavy wear.

You need the biggest caliber handgun you are willing to carry, and can shoot, if you aren’t carrying a rifle or shotgun. I would prefer to carry both.
However, people tell me the 10mm has a huge following in Alaska to the point 10mm ammo is as common as 44mag nowadays.
Luckily for you the bears on Montana aren’t as big as kodiaks in Alaska. I think a 10mm semi made by a reputable manufacturer will serve you well loaded with the correct ammo.

I don’t know how old your police magnum is, but a lot of newer ones had a dimple on the magazine tube that will bind a spring when used with an extension. Also, most 870s had a four shot magazine tube and not a five.

It’s strange to me to think about going on vacation to Nickajack/Hale’s Bar. I’ve lived around the area most of my life. The restaurants are very average and all maintain some weird hours.
The unclaimed baggage in Scottsboro isn’t what it used to be. A friend of mine e says employees, family members, and friends all pretty much get to pick through stuff before it goes on the floor.

I’m an 870 armorer. I have never seen a factory 8 shot magazine extension.

I guess it never hurts to ask. Any trades you are looking for?

The partially ramped front sight tells me the barrel is from 1947-1971.
