I was in my local WM a couple days ago & they had shelves full of Tula Perfecta 9mm for $9.97 per 50 rnd box & .45 acp for $18.97 per 50. I noticed it was made in Italy (thinking Fiocchi maybe?) & it's the lowest I've seen 9mm & .45 in years so I grabbed a couple boxes of each. Anyone have experience shooting it?

Nice find & awesome price, especially considering it's the Beretta version. I always regreted trading off my Beretta 8040D. The trigger was smooth as glass. I love the Cougar models. IMHO they have much better ergonomics than the 92s & are so much fun to shoot. Be sure to post some pics.

Hmm...looks a lot like the original Daisy BB air rifle. http://www.daisymuseum.com/html/timeline/1880.htm

The no permit law in D.C. is part of the reason my brother recently transferred to another state. He lived in VA & had a CC permit, but worked for the D.O.D. & had top security clearance, but was still not allowed to carry in D.C. or at his job because of idiotic gun laws. The last straw was when he was working at the Navy yard & witnessed the shooting last year. A good friend & co-worker of his was murdered along with other employees because they worked in a "gun free zone". If the employees had been armed, there would at least had a chance to try to stop the gunman, but our govt. sees legally armed citizens as more of a threat. Disarming legal gun owning citizens & posting "no gun" signs does not make America a safer place. To this day I've never heard of a gunman politely asking permission to go on a shooting spree!

I've already installed a D model hammer spring, performed a trigger & action job, & installed an Elite II skeleton hammer & after a long wait, I finally picked up a SGS style compensator for my Beretta 92G Brigadier Elite. It adds a little weight up front & has three upward firing ports. The Brigs already have a gentle recoil so I can't wait to try it out with the new compensator attatched. I'll try to post better quality photos when I take it to the range.

Because they're racist.
Not anymore. The govt is investing in the new "iNotRacist" app for all employees... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtlxIcN_tAM

I prefer the Berettas, the way they feel & shoot, but I like the Beretta Cougar even more than the M9/92 models. They're smaller & I shoot them more accurately. Tens of thousands of rounds through my Berettas & not a single malfunction from any of them. As far as reliability, they don't get much more reliable than Beretta. The 92's design has been around for over 60 years starting with the model 1951. Here's an artcle about the history of the M9 you might find interesting... http://blog.cheaperthandirt.com/defense-beretta-92/

Looks like it might be time to accept that it's not "gouging" anymore, but simply the new price point of .22lr. Of course most of the insanely high gun show pricing are exceptions to the norm. Like others have said, if guys quit buying it at such a frenzied pace maybe the price will come down, but probably not by much. I'd get use to paying what you're paying now because there's really no reason for the prices to ever go back down to where they used to be. Everything, from gas, to food, to ammo will always get more expensive. It really sucks, but will never change.

Their prices must change daily, I was in there on friday and picked up 2 100 rd boxes of mini mags for 9.99 each. They did have something called cci "green label" in 100rd boxes for $16.99. Never heard of these, they must be plated in platinum or something.
IMO that's a great price for the green box CCI's. They're $20 + tax at my local Walmart & $24 + tax at my local gun shop.

We've talked about the guys that go to Walmart and buy up the 22's for normal price and sell them for 400-500% profit. I stopped in at the new Bud's in Sevierville last weekend. The sign on the door said that they have 22's $10/50. We ding the guys on Armslist for doing this. Why don't we boycott gunshops that are doing it. Armslist drops the add. If gunstores stop being patronized they would have to straighten their act out. Now before you start getting on me about them being able to make a profit, If you feel that way stop complaining about the guys on places like armslist that are keeping the price of 22's up.
OK, I figure I'm about to get hammered, so FLAME ON!
Which one's were you looking at? I just picked up a few 100 round boxes of CCI's from Bud's for $10.99 per box.

The process is simple. If you're in the process of getting raped or murdered or if the British are coming, all you have to do is call the permit office & they'll let you fill out the papers. Yeah...okay! :surrender:

That's really not much to go on & I'm sure there's a lot more to the story. If they took his permit & range key it sounds like he was probably doing something he wasn't suppost to be doing like being unsafe or breaking range rules. Like I said, not enough info.

First is a universal shoulder holster with belt attachment. It's made from padded nylon & will fit most full size pistols with a 4" barrel. It's not a fancy holster, but maybe someone can make use of it.Shoulder holster goes to "BJB".

Beretta "92G Elite II" - Out of production & just a beautiful firearm.
Beretta "Steel-1" - The only Beretta ever made with a full steel slide & frame & only SAO pistol I'll ever want.
If I could just get an Elite II, I won't even bother with the Steel-1 & would consider my gun bucket list complete & quit. Any help would be appreciated.

What brand & type of 9mm is it? FMJ, +p, etc...?

This gives a little insight into how easily it can be transmitted.

If you turned on a fluorescent lamp in the Oval Office after Clinton's last term I bet the astronauts could see it glowing from space.

There's only 2 groups of people who like the "pants around your butt with your drawers showing" style. One is the idiots that wear it, obviously. The other is the guys whose job often includes having to chase them before arresting them.
+1. I saw an interview with a LEO & he called baggy pants "the great equalizer". He said droopy jeans was the only way they could catch a lot of thugs. I've seen it happen several times on "COPS"?

I took apart a Beretta Cougar . I made the decocker/safety into a "decoker only" to where the lever would spring right back up after depressing it. The little coil spring in that lever is a ***** to get back in . I started to sweat and worry that I may never get it back in. But it all worked and the modification was really neat afterwards.
+1. I currently own three Beretta Cougars I've converted into "G" models & also added D model springs to them all including the Mini Cougars to lighten the DA trigger pull. The Cougars are simpe to convert into G models, not to mention free. You simply remove two little parts; the detent ball & spring. The regular 92/96 models are complicated to do the G conversion. The slides must be machined & it costs a few hundered dollars to convert them. Another reason to love the Cougar. The 90-Two doesn't need any machining & only requires a few parts to be converted to a G model, but still isn't what I'd call cheap.

Next question, will we now have to pay sales tax on items ordered through Buds/KY Store as they have a TN location?
May have to contact KY store for this.
Here's a link to a thread that should answer all you questions. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/82549-buds-discount-guns-lexington-ky/

Is this part of Bud's Guns out KY?
Yes & no. It's a privately run franchise store & even has a seperate website. Prices & stock will be different than the KY store. It's basically just a regular gun store with the Bud's name.
Bud's, KY aka "The Gun Warehouse" ... http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php
Bud's, Sevierville aka "Bud's Gun Shop & Range" ... http://www.budsgunshoptn.com/

Fury
in General Chat
Highly illegal, thats messing with the FCC there, they dont like that kinda thing.
+1. Some theaters across the country actually tried that a few years ago. It didn't last long. My local theater, which has finally gone digital, will actually stop the movie & put a "turn off you cell phones" message on the screen for 30 seconds if they see someone using one during the movie. If that doesn't work they come in & escort the cell phone user out of the theater. I've seen them do both at least once.

It looks like some of that vampire ammo.....or maybe it's werewolves, I forget.
I think the ammo is for werewolves. Only Hollywood & teenagers who can't act their way out of a wet paper bag can truely kill vampires. :surrender:

Fury

Looks like a movie worth seeing on the big screen. Hopefully I'll get to see it in a few days so I don't have to wait for the DVD.
On a side note. I've only seen previews, of course, but eveytime I hear Brad Pitt talk in the preview I keep picturing his "killin' Nazi" speech from "Inglourious Basterds".

Tula "Perfecta" Ammo
in Ammunition and Reloading
Posted
You're right. I just took out the bag & noticed the clerk sold me Fed. 9mm aluminum & the .45 Tula Perfecta is indeed brass. I guess I mixed up which ones I bought because I had been looking at them both & put the bag up in my closet as soon as I got home. Sorry for the confusion.
The Tula BrassMaxx I bought a while back was manufactured in Herzegovina. The Perfecta I picked up is made in Italy.
