  1. Yeah, without serial numbers there isn't much of anything that can be done.

Which is a great reminder for anyone that doesn't keep a list of serial numbers to start one. I keep it saved in three separate emails and a hard copy.

+1. If he bought them at FFL dealers you might try contacting them to see if they can help you retrieve some of the serial numbers. Without the numbers it will be next to impossible to report them as stolen & track them down. I always keep an updated list of serial numbers including the guns I've traded & sold locked up in a filing cabinet for this reason. Best of luck & I hope they catch the POS.

  2. What happened to the days of common sense? He's suing for "emotional damage"? Really?! Crap happens & you get over it. It's not like they threw it in his face or something. Maybe Starbucks should counter-sue this idiot for taking up precious oxygen in the environment.

IHO, Starbucks should tell him to... smiley-says-kiss-my-ass_zps2b36ce1b.gif

  3. Walmart will price match other stores in the area on identical, in stock, items. Plenty of times I have had a Walmart employee call another store to get a lower price. Of the employee won't ask for manager. But brick and mortar Walmart stores will not price match any online store or website, including Walmart.com.

I am really looking hard at the military 12 gauge buckshot at Walmart for ~$1 a round.

Some will, but my local WM will not price match items with other WM stores & NEVER on ammo. I tried to get them to price match a Sony DVD player with another WM store last year & they wouldn't budge, even after talking to a manger. My local store will also no longer ship or receive items from one store to another like they used to. They changed their policy a few years ago.

  4. I have read on here where several folks were talking about the Perfecta having a great price at their local Wally but the couple locations I checked (mainly the one in Lenoir City and the one in Sweetwater) the Perfecta was priced about the same as Federal, Remington, etc. with TulAmmo being a lot less expensive than any of those.  I checked multiple times to see if the price had come down and it remained the same.  My luck - the stores in my area never have the 'cool' stuff (pricing.)

+1. My local WM has Perfecta priced within a few dollars of Federal & WWB. The last box of Perfecta 9mm I bought was $12.97/50 rounds & Fed. & WWB were about $15-$16/50 rounds. That still beats my local gun shop who wants $30/50 rnds for WWB & Remington FMJ. Our WM has higher prices than about any WM in East TN because there's no competition in or around my area. The nearest WM is over an hour drive from my town so they can pretty much raise prices however they want. Nearly every item in our local store is 5%-10% higher than Lafollette, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Knoxville, & Somerset, KY. (Lafollette & Somerset are the nearest) That adds up over a year of spending.

  5. Here's one in Nashville. "Shooting for Women Alliance". My wife & I took their course in Kodak, TN a few years ago. Rates may vary from area to area, but it cost us $28 each for a reserved spot in the class + the cost of our ammo, which we brought from home. If a spot is open the class is free, but I've NEVER heard of a class not filling up so you might as well go online & prepay. There was about 100 in our class & it was monitored by a member of the TN Highway Patrol. They also provide free loaner handguns for anyone that needs to qualify.

  6. I thought about a junk year as well, but its a much higher risk for an older engine.

The reason I specifically mentioned PAP is because they used to offer warranties in the $40 range plus you can usually try the engine out. We used to take a gas can & a 12V battery with us & fire them up right their in the lot. Either route can become addictive & add up to a lot of dough. I have a '88 Ranger that I was only planning to do a little work on. A small block stroker & more mods than I can list in a week I'm still not done. (Being laid off put a hold on the project) Now here's where I'm at on it & still not done... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3220092/1988-ford-ranger-regular-cab/

  7. The media has shown plenty of ignorance when using this term & it's mainly to get ratings. They want to call every black rifle an "assault rifle" because the other ignorant people watching the news buy into it. Yesterday I was watching one of those real crime shows ("FBI Files" I think) & when one of the lawyers called the shooters 9mm Hi-Point rifle a "black polymer carbine assault rifle". Really...a Hi-point being classified as an assault rifle?  I guess that means the Nylon 66 Apache I've had since I was 10 years old is an assault rifle too. Shame on dad for trying to turn me into a terrorist by allowing me to have such a dangerous piece of .22lr destruction. :usa:

  8. I feel your pain. I was in the market for a safe a while back, but after being unable to find someone to move it for me I ended up getting a Stack-On 10 gun cabinet. Here's the one I got... https://www.stack-on.com/categories/security-cabinets-gun-cabinets/products/64 It's not "safe" quality, but we're renting at the moment & are planning on moving within the next couple years & didn't want the hassle of trying to hire someone to move a 600+ lb safe in & then right back out. I'll buy a quality safe when we move into something more permanent, but am really happy with the cabinet. I mainly wanted something to keep my handguns & gear out of the hands of my two young sons so it's perfect.

  9. When you purchase a gun at a FFL the shop owner must keep a physical record of the sale (along with all your info) on hand for 20 years before they can be discarded. A friend of mine owns a pawn shop & says he has been visited by the TN BATF & has had to pull records on guns he sold well over 10 years old on more than one occasion because a gun he sold was either stolen, lost, or used in a crime. In many cases the guns had traded hands several times & the BATF needed to track down the original owner & go from there. That's why it's also a good idea to get a private bill of sale whenever trading or selling a gun, especially if you bought it through a FFL.

  10. Sweet! That came out the year I graduated high school. I haven't heard that song in years. Brings back a lot of memories of my teen years & good times with friends. One of my favorite soundtracks on my computer is from "Empire Records". "The Cranberries", "Toad the Wet Sprocket", "No Doubt", & "Better Than Ezra" were topping the Billboards back then.

  11. Yes,

It is a Custom Beretta made by Wilson Combat,

These were actually manufactured by Beretta (not by Wilson), but to Wilson's requested specs which are tighter than standard 92's. The slide to frame fit & stainless match barrels have a better fit, similar to the 92G-SD models. Then Beretta ships them to WC to have the grips, etc. installed. There's been talk of Beretta bringing back some of the older Brig models, but with these improved tolerances when they make the move to TN, but it's not set in stone yet.

  12. This by far has to be the Sexiest Beretta ever made, I should have mine in May

Nice! Beretta did a good job on the WC Brigs. I wish they would re-release (is that a word :ugh: ) the Brigadier Elite or Elite II models though.

  13. Have you ever checked out a Beretta Cheetah (model 84 -double stack mags or 85FS - single stack mags)? They're incredibly reliable & have great ergonomics. While you can find them in many prices ranges depending on condition, here's a model 85 on GB that appears to be in prime condition. I've seen many in this condition go for $700-$800. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=470166608

  14. I also prefer a less conspicuous mag pouch like the Bianchi.  I use what's intended to be a phone pouch for one size and a generic Bass Pro pouch for the other.  I think they both were about $5.  Any sort of generic knife/tool/phone type pouch works fine.  Certainly not as fast to access as the open top kind, but I prefer better concealment.

+1. My dad carries his single stack mags in a Gerber or Victorinox multi-tool pouch. You'd never know it was a spare mag on his hip.

  15. Look, I know you signed up on a multitude of gun forums the same day you signed up here (Google is a wonderful tool) and it really seems that your reason for doing so is to post these videos on all of them and drive traffic up on your YouTube channel.  Don't care.

What I do care about is good information.  Stuffing cardboard into a cheap mag holder to force it to work with mags it wasn't designed for is thrifty, but not really the sort of gear you or anyone else should be trusting your life with.  This seems like a really bad idea.

I prefer my Bianchi AccuMold single & double magazine pouches over plastic. I'm in the back country a lot & like having a cover over my mags to help keep them from catching on limbs, brush, etc... plus it keeps dirt & debris out of them too. One of my pouches has the snaps while the other uses Velcro. Both pouches fit all my Beretta, Ruger, SIG, & USP compact magazines perfectly & I don't even have to rig them with cardboard.

Even though I prefer flaps I own & have carried with both of these mag pouches & they both work great. (Yeah, I have a lot of mag pouches) They're both completely adjustable to fit 99% of double stack mags with the turn of a screw.

  16. Can you get in trouble for brandishing a 'non-gun'?

I wouldn't doubt it. After all, you can go to jail for robbing a place with a toy gun. Using a fake pistol to intimidate people could be asking for trouble. There have been a few rare instances where an open carry has possibly stopped a crime from happening, but IMHO concealed carry is probably the best idea. If a criminal thinks you have a gun there's a good chance that showing off a "fake" pistol may make them more likely to be aggressive & use deadly force.
