And as far as getting it to the rooms, if he broke down the ARs, he could put 10-15 in one large roller bag. Since he didn’t fly with them, they could have weighed 75 lbs each and he just simply roll them to the room. And 5.56 and .308 ammo isn’t that heavy. He probably had the mags loaded and all stacked in suitcases. Most of us have taken a few thousand rounds to the range on any given afternoon. The media does not really care to or will ever understand us ‘gun nuts’, like I’ll probably never really get obsessed over golf or tennis. Acquiring an arsenal of 35 guns in a year is a slow year for some of my collector colleagues....at least that’s what I’ve heard [emoji6]

I’ve thought the same thing. Although I’ve probably been guilty of blowing up some ####...maybe...or at least I knew a guy who did [emoji16]

As an aside and a warning, for those of us who have gone through the process to have Class III items, make sure you have copies of your stamps and proper paperwork with you when these items are out of the safes. The public perception of suppressors, SBRs, etc is being distorted by the media now. And many officers that might make a traffic stop might not be fully aware of laws either, so watch your back guys and play safe and legal. Just my opinion....[emoji6]

As far as them getting in garages, they are attracted to the emergency garage door releases that almost always have a red t-handle. Once they get it, it's hard to get them out. I've had them do that at my garage at Center Hill Lake. I just replaced the standard emergency pull cord with a green dog leash and have no more issues with them getting inside.

Picked up a 686-5 2 1/2" snub at the Crossville gun show Saturday. Added the stocks as I had a pair that needed a home. Saw this one walking around, other than that, was not impressed. I did play with the new 870 Tactical 14, it was pretty sweet. They weren't dealing so I'll probably get one off GB. -

Going down Thursday am for the foundation banquet Thursday night and staying through Saturday. It's too awesome to miss. I've been the last three years. Great deals on random 'gun stuff' and knives, holsters, parts, etc. Pretty good swag too.

So sorry, to many of us they are more than family. As I told my daughter when she lost her Yorkie of 15 years, we can mark the best years of our lives by the dogs we have. Remember the good times and the blessings.

Walmart parking lots are heavily video-taped and that could provide some security in the event that you needed it. I have bought and sold many guns and usually have the buyer come to my office. It's safe, public, and my turf. No one has ever had an issue with that, as far as I know. I've met people at gun ranges, gun store lots, Home Depot, Walmart, church parking lots, truck stops, restaurants, even a parking lot at UT when moving my daughter into school. The main thing is that you are comfortable with the buyer/seller. I usually flash my TDL or HGP. Some ask for a bill of sale, I have no issue either way.

Or just keep buying them, that way, you always have one or two or six in the system [emoji12] .....ask me how I know

My wife and I have a contract on a home. It's a downsize one-level ranch that will be our last home...(maybe I've said that before...lol). Built in 1952, we will be doing some remodeling. The garage has been converted to a bedroom/bonus room. I'll put my safes in there for now, but we plan on building a garage. My question....has anyone built a room and used one of the 'safe' doors? Where did you find plans? Ideas? The lot is flat so it wouldn't be a basement. It would be in the garage addition. Poured concrete walls? Block walls filled with rebar and concrete? Approximate cost? Lots of questions. Any one here a contractor that has done such a thing? Pics? Thanks
