  1. The way I read this rule, if you shoot a legal CCP gun, that score can be used for SSP and ESP. If the CCP legal gun is using major power factor ammo in .45, it would also apply to CDP classification. The gun used must be able to be used legaly in the other class for the score to carry over. A legal ESP gun, (Glock 34) cannot be used for classification to CCP because of the long barrel. However a Glock 19 shot in CCP can be used for classification in ESP.  SSP if no external modification are present.  Likewise a Glock 30 shot in CCP can transfer to CDP. :confused: Clear?
  2. Gallatin Gun will host the IDPA classifer match this Saturday the 14th. Set up is at 7:00, start time is at 9:00. The classifer is 90 rounds. bring extra in case of reshoot. You may shoot more than one gun. We will have all the divisions open to classification including the new CCP and BUG. IDPA membership is not required to shoot this match, I can hold your scores for posting after you join IDPA. I will have 3 bays set up for the classsifer to help move it along. 
  3. I will shoot AM, won't know what stage I am assigned until the match.
  4. I have bought 8 lbs of it and have been testing it in .40s&w. 180gr Ranier RS with 4.9 grs of ETR7 makes 170 PF out of a Glock-35. 1.125 OAL. Clean burning. Geting about 20 FPS devation. Plan on dong some testing on .45 later. 
  5. You know you need them. Anyway, it will help me get use to the CCP and BUG gun I plan on using this year. G19 & G26
  6. Gallatin Gun Club will host their regular IDPA match this weekend (2/14/15). 75 rounds, 4 stages. 2 field courses and 2 standards stages. We will have the new IDPA gun divisions open for this match for those wishing to get a feel for the new divisions. The new divisions are CCP, campact carry pistol, 4.1 inch barrel length, 125 power factor. (Glock 19) limited to 8 rounds in the mag + one in the chamber. Open to any trigger type, single action, double action, safe action. Primary the ESP rules with a short barrel and 8 rounds in the mag. BUG (Back Up Gun). 3.6 inch max barell length. 6 rounds max in the gun,(this is one more than allowed in the past). 95 power factor with .380 as min. ammo size. Shooter will start from a holster for this match and 3 spare magazines with 6 rounds each will be allowed on their belt. Auto loaders and Revolvers allowed in BUG. BUG will be a open to all Tier 1 matches (local) after March 1st. and Tier 2-5 matches after June 1st. BUG will be a standard division, just like the big guns with offical classifications.   CCP and BUG will go into effect on March 1st with the new rule changes. We will allow them this weekend to help folks sort out equipement issues before the effective date. March 14 we will have a classifer match including the new divisions (CCP & BUG) and revamped REV division.

  12. Just back from the range. Stage 1,2 and 4 are set. The classifer in stage 3 and stage 5 will need put up. 
  13. I hope I get to come out and shoot my stages this time. I managed to get out of jury duty today, barring a winter storm, I should make it. :usa:

  16. Works for me. You can always use a shotgun with slugs, now that is heavy metal. How about a .50 Barrett, one hit anywhere around the target. :rofl:
  17. Bring what ever you wish, you can pick up your chair you left at rockcastle when you come.
  18. IMG scoring, 1 -0 or A zone to neutralize on paper targets.
  19. This months match will be a 3 gun match instead of IDPA. 4 stages min, 5 if large number shows up. Min round count is 50 pistol, 50 rifle and 50 shot gun, your mileage my vary.  4 slugs required on stage 4. Buckshot may be used on steel plates. 3 of the stages will have the option of rifle or pistol on paper targets. Normal match fees of $10 for club members and $15 for non-members. Start time will be 9:30. Set up at 7:00. Watch for the construction traffic in the area. Saturday October 11th.
  20. New shooters are not a problem. Since each shooter will shoot each stage alone with the safety officer, the officer can give each shooter just what they need. Also, you are welcome to stand by and step in if needed. Make sure they are in my squad, I will be the match director, head safety officer and I and also a safety officer instructor and NRA pistol instructor. :usa:

Per new rules, some classification scores may be transferred to other divisions. Be sure to note on score sheet if you want your scores applyed to more than one division. Classifer is 90 rounds.
