  10. FYI I will be needing SO's and CSO's for my match June 14th. Match fee covered with meal supplied. Set up will start June11th, match workers shoot on June 13th. Stages will be easy to set up because of use restraints of the Gun club and TVA.
  11. Update on the match. I was out at the range today and found there was no way to get the long range standards in, just too much mud down range. I will replace it with CM99-10 Times Two. John I know that breaks your heart, however I did leave the hardcover stage in on Bay 7. CM99-10 will go in bay one in the morning, the rest are ready for sticks and targets
  12. This will be a tier 2 match with 8 stages. good for 1 point for the nationals.
  13. Gallatin gun will host an IDPA classifer match on March 8th. 90 rounds min, bring 120. Match fees are $15 for non-members and $10 for members. each additional gun is $10. We will try to start at 9:15AM for this match. Watch out for construction equipment moving around the area. With any luck, we will have an ice storm and Mark will be happy again.
  14. Back to the match this Saturday. Looks like the ground will be frozen Saturday morning. That will be good because the thawed ground is like a wet spounge. I will be at the range at 7:00AM setting up. We will try to finish before the ground thaws out.
  15. Good morning Dave. The biggest problem we have at Gallatin is the curent range. We are stuck in a small patch of land, isolated within the TVA compound. Our current membership is at 1000 members with 200 on the wait list. If TVA expands their operation, the range is in danger of being closed for TVA needs. Currently we must drive through the construction area/parking/ construction equipement to access the range. We are looking at possible locations for a new range, off TVA land, nothing in stone yet. I feel if we move, the club dues would have to double to cover cost, that would cause some to drop the membership and other the chance to get in. It would also allow us to design a range that would better handle the different shooting types within the club.(we need a seperate pistol area). We could get bigger and better, it would require a move. I would love to do a regional IDPA match, getting 100 non-members by the TVA gate would be a problem. Alot of possibilites, we will most likely stay where we are as long as TVA will work with us.
  16. The February IDPA match at Gallatin Gun will be 4 stages. About 75 rounds should do it. Stage 1 is barrel city, stage 2 is watch your back!, The newly burned stage 3 is the usually standards drill, loosen up that weak hand, and the always fun and muddy stage 4 shoot house.  :woohoo:
  17. I went out and set up stage 5 today, I hope the grounds firms up before Saturday, it was like walking on a wet sponge
  18. I have sent the scores out to those I have e-mail addresses for. They will show up on the website as soon as Scott gets to it. I was one of 2 people to hit a no shoot, I am sure Justin stapled it in the wrong place. :stir:
