  1. .223 is some of the most labor intensive round to reload. I reload all mine. Resize and deprime on a single stage or a turrent press. length must be checked and shorted if to long. Dillon make a die/sizer combo that works good, or others make different cutters to do the job, anywhere from $10-$365. You will need a sweager if you have mil-spec rounds with crimped primer pockets to open the primer hole. After I have the brass in spec., I load them on a Lee Loadmaster. 55gr FMJ are the cheapest bullets to buy. With a 16" or shorter barrel, use a fast powder, Ramshot x-teminator, Accurate 1680, Alliant 10x or Hodgen H322. Heaver bullets and longer barrels use slower powders, Ramshot TAC, Alliant 15x, Hodgen H335 or Accurate 2230. 24" barrels and heavy bullets"75grs and up" even slower powders.

  2. This match is in the books. we have learned several things. The club officers have changed how we set up this type of match and should run smoother next year. Stage 6 has been thrown out because the steel was taken home before the last group could shoot it. That is the problem with borrowing equipment. Some people did not know we were have a 3-gun and just brought pistols, Next years will be the same weekend in November, mark your calander.

  3. I have reloaded 10,000 .40s&w for my G-35, I have had 1 case failure from a case that had about 10 reloads on it. USPSA major power factor is below the factory spec. so I have had very little problem with case seperation. I am starting to find some 9mm that are bulged out from people loading them to major power factor in comp. guns. Their is the one 9mm I shot out of my .40, expanded out to .40 with out splitting the case.

  4. I use range brass, I have picked up thousands. Powder valley is a great place for large orders on powder and primers. for smaller orders, reloaders bench in Mt. juliet. Bullets...Percision Delta, look thru gunbroker site. I am using my old stock, so my cost will go up some next year.

  5. It depends on your amount. I shoot about 5k a year. It cost me $108 per thousand to reload or 10.8 cent each. White box @ .19 cent each is $190 per thousand. That is $82 per thousand or $410 per year savings. I am reloading with JHP, those retail are around .30 each, so the savings are 192 per thousand/960 per year.
