  1. "Barak Obama: Nobama won because he said: “I’m not like them mean Republicans; I’m here for “Hope and Changeâ€. Folks have found out in short order that “Hope and Change†means socialism and the worst kind of influence peddling we have seen since Reconstruction." It is because I respect the office of 'President' that I disrespect Barak Obama.

    HCP classes Knoxville

The wife and I had our class at Hickory Creek Practical Shooters (Watt Road area) instructed byCarl "Red" Smith. The class was very entertaining as well as interesting......not boring at all. I encouraged a brother and his wife to get their HCP's and I went along to sit thru Red's class again. His classroom is at his range and any of his former students are welcome to use the range free when he is on site. You can google 'Hickory Creek Practical Shooters' for contact info.

    S & W M&P 9c

I have am M&P9c as well and am well pleased with it. My wife carries the Bodyguard 380 but loves to shoot the 9c and I must say she is very good with both. I had to tweak the rear site just a tad to bring it to center but it is a sweet running auto. It is my EDC and also resides on the night stand at night.
  6. I bought my M&P9c from those folks at a Knoxville show back in Spring. Good price and great people to deal with.
  7. I went today on an outside chance I could find another magazine for my wife's new Bodyguard 380. It's not available yet from S&W, sold out online and I could'nt find it at any local dealer I had checked. But lo and behold the good lord led me to a table that had 3 of 'em! OTD for less than online plus shipping. I wiil go back in the morning as I have a relative running the "Holsters and Acessories table".
  8. Interesting. My Bodyguard 380 (although a sub-compact) has 1 spring but the coils are not linearly wound. Alternate sections along it's length are closely wound while the other sections have more widely spaced coils. Could this be to make 1 spring behave as 2? Inquiring minds would like to know.
  9. No problem. MSRP is 575.00. 449.00 was my price. There are some online sources with a price of 380.00 +/- 10.00. But with shipping, FFL, and background you're back pretty close to 449.00 and it's worth a little more to me to have a dealer I can talk to face to face should it be necessary. Fantastic deal? No. Decent? Yes, based on my current research.
  10. Well, never thought I would ever buy a .380 but I bought a S&W Bodyguard 380 yesterday for the wife. We went out looking for a Kel-Tec PF9 or similar and found this at Bill's Outpost in Maryville (a great place to do business....great atmosphere, good prices and selection). Did not find a PF9 but checked out all the Ruger and Kel-Tec models. As soon as the wife picked up the Bodyguard and racked the slide she was hooked. Most ladies have some difficulty racking slides but this little gun is easy to operate. Build quality is great and contrary to what some folks have said, we think it's a good looking gun. Comes with only 1 mag as most of these guns do but extra mags are supposed to be available by the end of September. Can't give a range report yet but will do so soon. The important thing is that this is a gun she will carry. Size and weight is such that it would be very easy to carry consealed by folks of any build or body weight.
  11. Yep! Early.....both wife and I.... and for the 2A guys.
  12. I can never find .38 special!!!

    New M&P9c Carry

Interesting suggestions gentlemen on the trigger revamp. I will have to seriously investigate these when the budget recovers from the shock it has received lately. After buying the M&P9c the wife says "we are done aren't we? Do we need any more guns? :tinfoil:" I say "Well......"

    New M&P9c Carry

OS- I stopped by the Norris police station back in winter to get some info on the range and learned that a years membership runs from July 1 thru June 30 for all. I decided then I would wait till July 1 to sign up as I wasn't quite ready to use the range. In the last few days I read a post (not sure where) stating that sign up for the upcoming year began in June. So, based on your post, that statement was apparently wrong. But you're right, I wouldn't want to shell out $40 now and again in 1 month.

    New M&P9c Carry

We have been upgrading our arsenal for the last 4 months and are just now getting settled in with the keepers. We hope to start tweeking each to our liking as soon as the funds permit. With 4 new and 2 legacys it has been an expensive project!

    New M&P9c Carry

Bought a new M&P9c from T&T at the show Saturday. Although like my Glock 22, I found it just a little much for EDC. Price was decent....not fantastic.... but better than I found at the local gunshops. Looking forward to putting a few rounds thru it ASAP. I sure do miss not being able to shoot in the back yard as I now live in a subdivision but I will be getting a membership at the Norris range in June. I bought the wife a new J frame airweight last month and she has been anxious to get a little practice in as well.
  17. And see we did....the results are in! 2 weeks and 2 days! We received our HCP's in yesterdays mail. We figured the FBI processing pause would cause a delay but apparently not.
  18. The wife and I are into the wait as well. 2 weeks since printing and it appears the average wait is 4 - 4 1/2 weeks now. We shall see.
