  1. I talked to Robert a couple weeks ago but didn't think to ask about round count. This being a club level match I will bring about ~ 150-200 Pistol ~ 75 Bird Shot ~10 Slugs ~200 Rifle and expect to bring about half back home. I haven't shot any matches at this club but I would rather have too much than not enough. YMMV
  2. Match notice for those who may be interested. Gallatin Gun Club will be holding a 3 Gun Match August 11th 2007 See their site for more info. http://www.gallatingun.com/ Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with GGC just passing along a good word and starting a new thread in the Shooting Sports Section of TGO. Hope to see you there.

I have paid $20 + $10 Tics several times here in Middle, TN. Sometimes they charge me $2-$3 Tax. I use Ted's Sporting Goods in Columbia and don't feel as bad since they do other business besides guns. I would check other business like Pawn shops ect. that may do it for a reasonable fee.
  4. If you're near I-24 I would shoot with these guys About 1 Hour SE of Nashville About 30 Minutes SE of Murfreesboro http://www.midtnshooters.com/ Depending on your location you might consider these guys About 1 Hour West of Nashville http://www.ntps.org/ I'm a member at Maury County Gun Club About 1 Hour South of Nashville http://www.maurycogunclub.com/ (Website incomplete) You will be able to move and shoot as you want at MCGC but not as much of a competitor club as the two above. Other local clubs of interest. http://www.gallatingun.com/ (IDPA Matches but Membership Closed) http://www.mctsclub.com/ (IDPA & USPSA Matches but looking for perminent range) If you become interested in 3 Gun Matches let me know, there are a couple more places to go but not as close.
  5. What's your definition of a "Tactical type range"? How far are you willing to drive from Nashville or your location which is where? Are you looking to shoot handguns or longguns or both?
  6. I understand your hesitation in fact I went to watch my first match and that's why I'm saying just come to shoot you'll wish you did. Being safe is really the primary thing you need be concerned with. There is not much chance you will make a fool out of yourself. Hope to see you there, Mike
  7. I didn't word it very well but I meant the 12 Slugs required at MTSC in Manchester. So you then.
  8. Of course, but shooting is'nt the best spectator sport. If you are familar and SAFE with your guns I would come to shoot. If your short a gun I would borrow one. I think you'll find the 3 Gun crowd to be the freindlier of the shooting sports and willing to help fellow shooters. YMMV:)
  9. I got you bob. Don't let your other brother Robert bail on you this time. Note the number of slugs required. Let me know how yall like the Memphis match. I would like to road trip down there sometime.
  10. BTT With a new date. Saturday 9am 5/5/07
  11. Take a look at this link http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=38&t=260680 The second saturday of each month. I have not been yet:(
  12. I guess we need to pitch in and get Dan a jacket. I was expecting him to show up wearing just a T Shirt like he normally does when everyone else is wearing a jacket.
  13. We had a good safe match with 18 Shooters and a couple guest. I thought that was pretty good considering the temperature. The scores are posted if anyone is interested.
  14. Way cold it looks like. I thought you might cancel it and give us fair weather guys a break.
  15.
