  1. I have the same problem and can shoot right handed with both eyes open if I hold the gun a little off center to the left. YMMV Mike
  2. I hope replies to this tread are no indication to the interest / demand for an indoor night time pistol match in the Boro.
  3. I took the Williamson Co SD Safety Class several years ago which Jim and company put on through the Reserve Department. I have also shot with them on the last Saturday of the month at the County Range many times. I'm sure you will be satisfied with Jim and the instruction you get particularly for the money. The safety class they offer is also a good value if you have the time. I even managed to talk my wife into taking the class without me and it has been good for her.
  4. Robert, Pre 2007 Wolf ammo had nonferrous bullets. This year they have tried to cut cost and added some amount of ferrous material such that a magnet will stick to it. I don't believe it is considered a steel core armor piercing bullet and "they" say it will not damage steel targets but I have not tested it myself. Let me know if you learn something different. Mike
  5. I will 2nd that Idea. I'm not sure which night is best but a night match would be good.
  6. I have been living this motto to some extent for several years and I'm not so sure it's the best idea unless you plan to die young. I have a hard time getting out of bed and hobbling around in the mornings which makes me wonder how much pain I'm going to be in when I really get old. I also believe you have to keep going because the pain only gets worse with inactivity. I just can’t go as hard as use to. YMMV:)

    Walther PPS

Has anyone seen/held/shot the new Walther PPS ? http://www.waltheramerica.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=13152&storeId=10002&productId=60492&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=44304&isFirearm=Y If so what did you think of it. I'm not afraid to say I like Glock Kool Aid:koolaid: But I may have to consider one of these since Glock can't seem to make a Single Stack 9mm. PS Hey Joe, since Wather and S&W are some how related will you be able to get good prices on these?
  8. Robert, Any thoughts on the 8/9/08 3Gun yet. Do you expect it will be similar to 2007 with 3 Stages one gun per stage ect. or maybe a little multigun? Thanks, Mike
  9. Has HCGC decided which rules and scoring they will use?
  10. I'm pretty sure carrying (semi auto) unloaded weapons to southern states is a non-issue but it could be for some of the socialist/communist states. Billy's is not as strict as most matches but it's pretty close in most cases. Other matches may require you to shoot upto all 3 guns in a single stage.
  11. The next T3G within ~1 Hr will be in Feb at Middle TN Shooters Club in Manchester. http://www.midtnshooters.com/ Steel City in ~Birmingham,AL will be having a Tac Rifle Match 12/29/07 Where have you been shooting? Billy's ?
  12. I don't know about BOB but I'm working on a shoe string Budget. I too am a believer in shooting what you got. Atleast until you know what you want.
  13. Where are you at and how far are you willing to drive?
  14. Watch it there Forrest it's "MC" and Congradulations. For proof see this link. I didn't have any luck Inserting the image either. http://mcfooter.atspace.com/HCGC%20Nov%2007.htm
  15. If you need some help posting let me know.
  16. I think it will depend on where you want to go. I would think most club level matches would let you shoot it in ESP if it will fit in the box but YMMV.
  17. How much was the entry fee and are the scores going to be posted?
  18. It looks like Molonlabetn has most everything covered but... You could start in heavy Metal Class with what you have and a ~$150 12G Pump Police trade in Gun if you don't mind feeding the 30cal and 45acp. If your looking for a reason to pick up some new hardware the most reccomended are - 223 AR w/Rifle length gas 18-20" barrel (JP if you have the $) - 21"-24" Benelli M1 or M2 Field ( I like the 21" M2) - .40 cal High Cap Pistol for USPSA and Reloading (S*I if you have the $) - 9mm High Cap Pistol for Outlaw and IMG As for practice. Run you Rifle for Accuracy Your Pistol for Speed and know how to reload your SG Just remember being SAFE and having fun is the name of the game. For more 3 gun info look here http://www.brianenos.com/forums/ This may be the closest 3 Gun to you which I believe is USPSA http://www.memphis-ssa.com/
  19. I guess it's their ball and they can play the game however they like. Below are some of the IDPA 3 Gun rule proposals. It gets worse than just 10 round mag limits. Either way it's trigger time and I will atleast try it if someone close to me makes it happen. I think Outlaw 3 Gun is the place to be with basic IMG Rules and IDPA scoring but YMMV. http://p075.ezboard.com/fidpaforumfrm39.showMessage?topicID=14.topic
  20. Have they established a plan for when they will have the 3 Gun Matches? Looks like 2nd Sat for IDPA and 4th Sat for T3G. It's a good ways for me but I would like to make it sometime.
  21. If you're around Nashville I'm pretty sure Daniel and his brothers can help you out. Colonial Silverplating Company 1118 Dickerson Pike Nashville, TN 37207 (615) 227-3517
  22. Molonlabetn, We're glad you were able to come out and that you had fun. The Iron Sighted AK made it tough on the long range steel. Normally the Long range stage is not quite so hard or there is a par time. Otherwise I thought you did very well for your first time out. It was obvious that you have been doing a little shooting. I will talk to the Match Director and maybe we can get another "New 3 Gunner" out next time ~ Feb 2008.
  23. That's good if she can load her own but I was joking about her loading yours Saturday. We have an occasional female 3 gunner show up she should go ahead and shoot. 3 gun is not a spectator sport.
  24. Does she load mags too? I have seen a couple wives/girlfriends who would but I have never had one.
  25. Don't right me off yet. I reminded my wife of the match and I didn't have to duck so I think I'm still in... That will make 4 of us confirmed anybody else from TGO going to make it? NB Forrest Molonlabetn Slowsure and me
