  1. Looking at buying a 20 gauge and want to ask how u guys like them. Been looking at the Browning Maxus CArbon for a while and it was mentioned the Benelli was a better gun so just need your input. I have a Gold Hunter 3 1/2 and its too big to use for clays all day so looking for a semi-auto light weight that that looks cool and yes I am a Carbon Fibe Freak.... I know its only a coating but still like to looks of what the pics look like. Also want to know what they look like in person. Thanks in advancea and God Bless. Michael
  2. Just some feelers on what would be the best load. Been using winchester supreme with ballistic silver tip in a 168 grain I believe. Shooting a Winchester Feather Weight 30-06 I received as a gift from my father. Seems to get me 2 inch groups at 100 yards and I am not the steadiest shot in the world either so I figure its probably ok. Those patterns are on a simple forearm rest and no bench vise. Let me know what you guys shoot and your patterns. Thanks in advance. God Bless
  3. Interesting, I will need to do some more checking, i guess this goes to show not all what those gun brokers tell you is right....lol
  4. Tacital solutions all the way.....my .02 worth
  5. No I have not, It seems to start hanging up after a box or two on those light loads. All my steel shot I can ru 15 boxes through without cleaning without an issue, at least thats what happen in MEXICO and Arkansas so I figure it just a light load issue. I can get some AA and pay $10 a box for it and they shoot fine, I really think its the ammo to be honest with you. I will look at the benelli and see what its about. Thanks for the heads up. God Bless
  6. 243 when I was 8yo and at 12yo a 25-06 and at 16yo 30-06. Still have all three guns and yes he will cherish whatever you build him till the day he dies......and hopefully will pass it down to his kids. I have 3 kids but 2 girls and 1 boy who is 4 so he has some time before he is ready but hey a good solid Winchester 243 is in his future. BTW the first deer I killed was a doe at 270 yards rested on a fence post. I suggest the low caliber so it doesnt make him shy of under confidnet to pull the trigger. Good Luck with it. God Bless
  7. one down and 14 million to go......time to reload...LOL
  8. Well going to order one I believe and wanted to see what you guys though of the MAXUS line. I have a Gold Hunter 3 1/2 thats my prize shotgun and looking for a good dove and backwoods gun for upland game. My gold hunter does not like light dove loads but duck goose and turkey are no issues. I really want a 20 gauge but the MAXUS does not come in anything but 12 so oh well. Thought about a Benelli but my Browning has been too good to me over the years and so my backup guns are remington 1100s and have all caliber of them but browning just makes a quality product. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance and God Bless Michael Also if you have one for sale hit me up
  9. Anyone have any and how do they holdup and are they well made????
  10. BTW the PLR with a 30 round mag is a great grip, someone makes a mag grip for the magpuls but cant remember who it is, regaurdless though the mag makes a great foregrip though, the 10 round clip is only good for the bench for sighting in....
  11. Just posted up a PLR16 up for sale in classifieds, yeah they are a blast to shoot but not very practical. Cool and very intimidating to say the least though...
