Hello to all,

I would like to donate an item in the classified section, however; I'm unable do to the lack of posts. Is this correct? I would like to contribute to the community. Please help a new guy navigate properly.

Johnny_Utah, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
   
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Pay It Forward (PIF) Classifiieds

The Pay It Forward or "PIF" type has been added to the classifieds software and may be used in the following categories only:

• Member Gear Classifieds
  
• Member Non Firearms Classifieds
  

I really don't anticipate someone wanting to give away a firearm or a Class III accessory.

The idea behind PIF is that sometimes folks want to just do something kind or for the sake of good karma and literally give away an item to the first taker. When a classified is added as a PIF item, it automatically is listed as not having a dollar amount assigned to it.

FAQ - Why can't I start a new thread in the Trading Post forums?

One of the most common questions we receive by email regards posting something in the For Sale forums. Specifically, people email asking why they can't and why they are getting a message stating that they do not have permission to post here.

The reason is this:

New members have to be with us for at least 30 days and have made at least 50 posts elsewhere on TGO before they can start new threads in the For Sale forums.

Alternately, anyone who becomes a TGO Benefactor (link) may immediately begin posting new threads in these forums regardless of their post count or tenure.

Anyone may reply to an existing thread so long as their reply is relevant to the thread in question. Anyone caught replying to an existing thread just to try to advertise their own merchandise will lose all access to the Trading Post forums permanently.

We do this to prevent gun-shops or private brokers from signing up just to use our forum as a form of free advertisement. We value the quality of our participants over the quantity, so if we lose a few "spammers" in the process, that sits well with us.

Hopefully you will understand too that by enforcing this policy, we are making it so that a member has to participate a little and give the rest of us a chance to get to know their character before we let them try to hawk their firearms or other goods. This makes it a little safer for us all.

Remember, the Trading Post is a complimentary service made available to our contributing members free of charge. Anyone who participates elsewhere on TGO or contributes monetarily as a TGO Benefactor is welcome to use this service.

They are not actually deleted. you need to access vbclassified directly. at the top of your page: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/vbclassified.php

Tunsten just upgraded the SW, so hopefully that fixes it.
