Nothing embarrasing at all with that Target !!!! What's embarrasing is anyone who does not post a Target and talks smack about anyone who does.

look, there is still about a week left in the month, i'll try to get to the range and post a target... (and also, i apologized for the back and forth and i mean it and agree it's lame ...but wasn't "talking smack" either, look at what's been presented and i think you'll see the reasons for my skepticism and you can judge the substance of the matter for yourself...).

My experience has been the groups get better as it breaks in. You gotta great start!!

If you want... check this out!! When I had the snag sight like you have on that Commander, it's impact was an inch high, like yours. Look at the link below and see if something like that would be to your liking. Everyones sight picture is different but a similar one brought my groups down to center the 10 ring.

:poop:

I was wondering if it was me, the sights, the ammo or all three.

I'd swear on the first target I shot that blazer ammo was hitting the target sideways.

Thanks for the website, I'm sure it will get me in trouble with the woman.

Took a long time to figure it out. I threw away a lot of targets, these are just the ones that have all 10 shots in the circle.

The Glock trigger reset is my friend now. Also, I figured out not to lock my elbow after the first 100 rounds . . it's still sore. And, it really helped to make a fist with my weak hand and kind of press it into my chest to stabilize my upper body.

Hey guys, I need to ask a favor. Please feel free (and continue) to congradulate each other on each others shooting, etc. But when you reply to someone's post, please DO NOT include the picture. It makes it a little more difficult for me when I go through all the posts to count everyone's scores. Thanks!

Only a few more days left, Tiny G is leading the way with a 94. Submit you targer before midnight Sunday evening. I'll announce the winner Monday morning, as well as the rules for June's competition.

Thanks, I went through 200 rounds to get it. Now I have to find more ammo for June.

Any tip you might want to share?

June's challenge shouldn't be too hard, it's July's that's going to be interesting....(got the year already laid out)

I'm fairly new to shooting so I just tried a lot of different things. Went from facing the target straight to completely sideways and ended up turned about 45 degrees to it with my feet spread apart about shoulder width and knees slightly bent (felt odd).

Then I had my left hand in a fist and up on my chest for a few but then towards the end I moved it down to just under my sternum and pressed into my gut basically. The elbow on my right arm started to hurt and I realized I was locking it so I put a little bend in it (also felt odd).

I tried taking two shots and resting, one shot and resting, 5 shots and resting but nothing was working. My first shot coming back was always off and the follow-ups were usually better so I thought about that first trigger pull . . . so then I concentrated on keeping the trigger pressed after the shot and releasing it just enough to reset about 2 seconds after firing. Then just pulled it again until it was surprising me every time it fired.

I got lucky about my 15th target. That first shot is the one to the left, all the others were better. I'm really liking the trigger reset on my Glock.

Also, I was completely alone on the range for over an hour. That helped a lot.

Well, here's my feeble first attempt. I was out on the Viola Valley range this afternoon, practicing for my HCP class tomorrow, so my hand was pretty tired. Done with my Sig P6 with 8 round mag. I just did get it done in time for this month's contest. In defense of my first attempt, it was getting dark, so I only shot 1 target.

BUT WOOT WOOT for the girls!!!

Excellent for dark shooting, and unless another one of our female members enters before midnight tomorrow, you win for this month! Also, you get 10 shots, so even if your mag only holds 8, you can reload (there's no time limit) Remember, there's two divisions. Men and women...

Cool, thanks! I wish I could go back and do May again. Before this one I finally asked about the yellow line on the floor at Guns & Leather (on the manual side). I thought it was a 5 yard marker but turns out it is 7 yards.
