We spend half of each year in either State. Seven grandkids in Texas, so Mrs. G isn't ready to make a full-time move yet.

It is so hot and humid ....(you have no idea).... in Houston, TX, that I haven't spent a summer there since I retired 25 years ago. 

Love TN and 5 years ago I started shooting Clays (Trap, Wobble Trap, Skeet and a little Sporting clays and 5 Stand)  Can't get enough of it.

I spent a bit of time in Texas and other states.  I like Texas. I find Texas to be very similar to other states despite the claims. Eastern Texas and Tennessee are extremely similar. Good luck. Have fun.
