You must keep this book for 7 years even if you let your license lapse and you only purchased 1 rifle with it.

Can you quote a source for that? It directly contradicts what I find here:

(G8) Are licensed collectors required to turn in their acquisition/disposition records to ATF if their collector’s license is not renewed or they discontinue their collecting activity? [Back]

No. The GCA requires the delivery of required records to the Government within 30 days after a firearms “business†is discontinued. A license as a collector of curios or relics does not authorize any business with respect to firearms. Therefore, the records required to be kept by licensed collectors under the law and regulations are not business records and are not required to be turned in to ATF when collectors' licenses are not renewed or collecting activity under such licenses is discontinued.

[18 U.S.C. 923(g)(4), 27 CFR 478.127]

Hah!

Me too! I thought it was a sign the thing was on the way, but nope...

Still waiting. Meanwhile all the cool C&R guns are going elsewhere...

Wow, its been about 3 weeks since I submitted my paperwork. Of course the bastards charged me my 30 bucks like two days after I mailed it, haha.

There aren’t any forms in that package you need to purchase a C&R firearm. It’s mostly info on state and Federal laws and a C&R list.

For you guys that sent a copy of your C&R to Brownells; has anyone ordered and got a discount? I get a decent discount with MidwayUSA but the last time I checked with Brownells they also required a tax number for a dealer discount. :D

I've been using my C&R for the discount with Brownells for over 10 years without the need of a tax number. I just updated my account with my renewal FFL and have made three orders since then with the discount in place.

I would give them a call and tell them that you are FAXing a copy of your 03 FFL.
