MCTS will be hosting an extended IDPA match this weekend. Click here for Stage Descriptions. There will be 8 stages total for approx 200 rounds. The cost will be $30.00 per competitor(whether member, non member, new shooter). Side matches are 50/50. The winners of the Handgun/Pump Shotgun/Auto Shotgun will split the winnings with the club. If you choose not to keep your winnings and want to donate it to the club for more props and range improvement, please feel free. It will be 3 runs for $5.00. No rifle rounds will be used on the plate racks. Please remember that ALL long guns will require a chamber flag and they are available at the range if needed. Hope you can bring the kids to the range and expose them to the shooting sport with some FREE runs on the plate rack. Eye and hearing protection is required by all individuals on the range. MCTS does have some extra protection if needed. We hope to see you at the range for a hot day of shooting fun!!

As RWF has indicated he will be running our 50-50 stages for us this weekend.

Those under 12 who are capable of safely handling a firearm will be allowed to shoot the .22's in the side match for no score with a legal guardian present.

Juniors 12 -20 are welcome to compete in the whole match with a legal guardian present.

The MCTS property landowner owner should be there on the range shooting the match with us on Friday and could be on the range that Thursday also. If you see him, please drop him thanks for our permanent home usage and being open for us to grow the club without resistance. It has been a true blessing for MCTS being part of the range with the landowner and NTPS.

IDPA equipments rules are more oriented toward an EDC setup.

I had read that in the rules but it also mentioned military/leo using duty gear but I dont know if that refers to all duty gear to include USGI weapon.

From page 35 of the rule book

Exception – Police or military officers may use their duty rig, but ALL retention features of the holster MUST be used and all belt equipment (mace, handcuffs, etc.) must be present.

What they are saying here is use of a police style retention holster and the whole duty belt setup minus a radio. Not referring to drop leg type gear.

it was great to see you Robert!

thanks to everyone who shot and a big thanks to Jack Brown setting the bar so very high first thing on the shotgun plate rack with a 2.15, 2.13 and a 2.05 run with the shotgun, it caused people to keep buying runs to try and beat you! congrats Bill with the pistol win

and Dan with pump shotgun.

Sorry I could not make it, had the roof replace yesterday and had the roofing company remove the solar panels. They could not dispose of them so I was stuck with them in the truck and had to hit the dump today rather than drag them all the way to Dickson and back.
