Winchester safes

Anyone have any experience with Winchester safes, particularly the Supreme 53?

Winchester Safes are made by Granite Security. The new Winchester safes, like the one at Sam's, are made in China. There is an older model that was made in Texas and some were made at a stove plant somewhere up North. I bet that all safes use the same tumbler except for the electronic models. I bought my safe at Southern Security in Kingston. I have heard that he is going out of business and is selling off his inventory at good prices. Might be worth looking into. If you buy one, have a plan in place to unload that sucker. I rented a massive dolly at Uhaul. Moved it myself. Still hurts when it rains!

Hey Steve, Thanks for the info. Too bad about them being made in China. That's unfortunately a deal breaker for me. I'll look into Southern Security.

Check out Champion Safes, they are far superior to the Winchester and most of them are made in Provo Utah, with a few of the lower end safes being made right across the border in Mexico.
