Too much for what they're worth and no. It's like using a cinder block when a brick will do.

My brother has the .22 LR version and it's a blast to shoot, though.

I've seen them for $250-$300 in pawn shops. The best one I saw had 4 mags, a suppressor, and a case for $600. I talked to my friend who owns the local shop and he told me they are different but not really as good of a gun as they are made out to be. I would buy one if the price was right, but it seems the name "tec9" adds unsubstantiated value. You should pass and find something nicer for the same moneys.
