I hear these bands every day on Sirius radio. There is soooooo much good music that the local radio station refuse to play. It is soo bad here that when I am in the truck running liquor around town I leave the radio off.

When the day comes that Hank III is getting played by commercial radio I might tune it back in.

Sirius is my crack.

I got hooked on a band called Dispatch. I think they have broken up now, but they have 4 or 5 albums of great music.

The band has broken up but they did a concert last summer to support Zimbabwe. They sold out Madison Sqaure Garden for three nights. The DVD is great. Each of the members now are doing their projects.

Personally, I like State Radio more than I ever liked Dispatch, but they are both great.

Another band worth checking out is John Butler Trio. The guitar playing is phenomenal. www.johnbutlertrio.com

Thanks for that update, I had no idea they all were back in action. I gave them each a listen, and State Radio definitely has the same flavor as Dispatch. I'm going to have to get the album.

You can download whole shows free from here: http://www.ccbsayit.com/

If you buy the released albums, I would suggest picking them up from their website. Cutting out the middle man gets more money to the band :koolaid:

I don't even remember the last time I listened to music on the radio. I just tote a mass of CDs in the truck, and swap them out as needed. If I was in a situation where I was doing a lot of driving on a regular basis, I'd probably invest in Sirius, though.

I love my satellite radio. pick what type of music you want and you will hear music you would never hear on terrestrial radio. I also love the fact that it is uncensored so there is none of that radio edit Bull$^*!
