my mom had their lightweight .38 five shot revolver. think it was like an 805 or something like that. It was her carry peice for over a year and she never took it to the range to test it, just loaded and carried it. ( i was unaware because i was overseas then out of state). When I got home i took it to the range for her and found out that it only fired in single action. Every time you tried double action the firing pin hit like rim fire. Sent it Taurus and it came back in a few weeks "fixed"... Took it to the range and the same problem was present. I tried blazer, pmg, winchester white box, and still no double action. I have heard similar problems from other people over the years. I agree with Taurus being hit or miss. That's why if you get a good one be happy, but remember what you get for that price. Since then I got rid of that revolver and her millenium pro and upgraded to a LCR that is awesome. Came with night sights too.
