Things are getting bad in Detroit..........For the Thugs.

Recommended Posts

Having lived there for a while it is nice to see that residents are getting fed up with the thugs that have run the streets (and government, but that is a different story) and are fighting back.  I both cases a CCW holder shot 2 thugs and no one else was hurt. I think that more people should see stories like this to show that CCW holders know what they are doing.  In another story I read about the coach who was 70 hit 7 out of 8 shot on the bad guys and the last shot hit the ground at the feet of the 2 guys. That is pretty good for a 70yr old at night under stress trying to protect 2 young ladies, I say he gets Coach of the Year.

For all of its faults, at least Michigan has some pretty good carry laws. With the amount of Detroit citizens that have defended themselves with firearms in the past year I would be surprised if they were able to ban handgun carry any time soon. Which is good because more and more thugs are getting shot in Detroit as the economy continues to spiral and their police force is gutted. The most effective tool to lower crime is citizens fighting back against it.

Interesting but these are the type of stories they don't put on the news. I've often wondered how many potential crime situations were stopped before the bad guy got his way. I had a jerk try to rob me in Minneapolis. He had a knife I had nothing but it was one of the worst weeks I'd had......car broke down, having to ride the bus, land lady's dog crapping on my bed amount other irritating things. I pretended to be reaching into my jacket for a wallet and noticed he was not paying attention. I hit him square in the nose as hard as I could sending him down on his knees, hisnhands covered with blood. I did not report it to the police although I imagine the doctor may have that evening when I found I had broken my hand on this crackheads face.
