Does anyone know where I can find an expanded dis-assembly photo / graph of a Smith & Wesson Sigma 9VE handgun? I have new trigger springs I want to try out to lessen the trigger pull, but need a detailed schematic to see what I am doing. :D

Please post up your opinions on the spring swap. I have an SW40C myself and have wondered is it would make much of a difference.

SUCCESS!! I exchanged the spring on the firing pin in the slide assembly with the one I purchased from gunsprings.com and it reduced the trigger pull on my Sigma 9VE to about 8 pounds. I did it myself, and it took about 20 minutes. After test-firing I encountered no problems with the gun whatsoever. I recommend it to all Sigma owners.

Geez Louise! REDUCED to 8 lbs! What was it before?

I know these things are DAO, I had one of the first ones made in the mid 90's (16 Round .40) but don't remember them being that heavy! Of course, maybe I'm getting less tolerant in my old age...

Congrats on the switch BTW....

Here is the link for where I bought the spring. I bought a pack of three and with shipping it cost me about $7 and change. Well worth the money. My Sigma was about 12 pounds trigger pull from the factory.

Here is the new spring before I installed it. The old spring is still on the firing pin assembly.
