My 80 year old mother in law went on a short rafting trip yesterday. She was telling me all about it this afternoon, especially one episode. Said everything was fine and smooth and they heard the guide say "OK Ladies, its time", he told all the old ladies on the trip to grab the rope handles and hold on, told them the raft was going through the only rapids they would be going through but that was part of the experience. Told them they would be going over a rapid and would drop maybe 10 feet, no big deal but they might go under water for a couple of seconds. Told them they better hold on tight and not let go or they would have to pick them up down river. She says they went over that first drop and she thought they were never going to stop then boom, they hit the water and went straight under. Said she was under for a few seconds and when the raft came back up she was soacked and trying to catch her breath and upset and she looked at her friend next to her and said she had never been through anything like that, said my god how could they put us old ladies through that? Her friend looked at her and said...
