325pd ammo

newbie 1st post Does anyone have any suggestions for the best ammo for the 325 pd ? I understand they are particular about the ammo. I don't plan to fire very often just enough to get use to it I have't shot it at all yet thanks for any imput

Its a revolver, how in particular is it picky about its ammo?

I've heard it bad to "pull the bullets" which I'm not sure I understand also casing may swell making them hard to get out. Just looking for a couple of good quality starting ideas

"Pulling" the bullet refers to separating the bullet from the shell casing. There have been incidents with the 325PD where, due to the recoil, some of the unfired bullets have separated from the casing while still inside the cylinder. Thus rendering the gun inoperable, until the round could be cleared. The problem seems to arise from the use of moon clips with sub-par ammo. As long as you stick to quality factory ammo, you should be okay.

I have shot one of those and they are a bear with 230 gr ammo.I would go with the 185 or 165 gr ammo in it.Better yet if you reload you could tailor your own reduced recoil ammo.
