Competition shooting help!!

I have enjoyed shooting as a hobby for the past couple of years, and I would like to start getting into Competition shooting but have no idea how. Can anyone tell me of a local Competition or send me info for someone I could talk to? I live in chattanooga tn.

There are some fine folks running matches in Manchester. Not too awful far from you. Hopefully JCoop will chime I'm, but keep a watch in the Competitive Shooting forum as there are matches posted regularly here!

Cleveland isn't too far from chatt. A lot of guys that shoot there are from chatt. They shoot 3 gun on 2nd Saturday's of the month and IDPA 3rd Saturday's of the month. There are always new shooter there for IDPA and is a welcoming environment. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I'm in Dayton just up the road.

The best way to get started is to just go to a match and shoot. You will find great people at all the clubs that are more than willing to help.

Range is Cleveland hunting rifle and pistol club. Matches usually start at 10am. New shooters meeting at 9:30.

I will be teaching a 3 Gun class soon at Elk River training center in Pelham TN. If your only interested in competition pistol......I can discount the price for just the pistol portion of the class.
