S&W 4013

Just picked up a SW 4013 today. Got an offer I could not refuse. Got it LNIB. Just wondering what peoples experiences have been with this compact 40sw? I have a Glock 27 also and I am a little surprised how close these two are in thickness. I like the SW safety systems though, and I can see how there would be times when one was more advantageous to use over the other. The Glock is shorter both in length and height. It is also lighter, but no external safety. I have always like the SW mag disconnect for home safety(yeah, I know, I will get blasted for that one) but to each his own I guess and the heavier DA first shot is nice when you want to shove the gun into places without a holster. Look forward to doing some side by side shooting comparisons. Was originally going for a 3913 but you take what you can get when you horse trade.

Then I lucked into a model 28 but it has Jordan trooper grips. It is a really clean 28-2, exc bluing, now I need some SW grips to make it look right.

Just to bring this back to the top I have and carry a 3913 and it is one nice tool to carry. It has always been a good gun and I used it for my ccp. It is a shame that this gun was not given its due and discontinued or renamed.

It is one heck of a ccp gun to have. I carry mine a lot with the sp101 second and glock 17 3rd. I like the way it carries in the truck with the seatbelt, and in long drives find it the most comfortable. I think this gun was never given its due and I'm a proud owner.
