I carry my sp101 in a Desantis pocket holster,IWB.It hides well.

Never tried the pt709,but the 740 had a pretty good kick to it.

Good to know,thats just a few miles from me.

I had a 740,it was a good gun.It was pretty accurate to 15 to 20 yards.I just couldnt get used to the trigger pull and didnt like the recoil.Ran several different brands of ammo through it and never had a problem.Sold it and got a ruger sp101 in .357 and its a keeper.

A freind of mine has a judge and he loves it.Its just not on my list of guns that i want right now,but never have shot one.Looks like it would be a good home defense or varmint gun.

Just wanted to post and say hello from Cleveland Tenn.Life long gun nut and my wife told me last week that my "gun fetish" has to stop.There is a few more that I want to own but it will be a while before I am able to buy anymore.Can anyone recomend a good 1911 style .45 pistol other than a Colt?

I have the 740 slim and it is a good conceal gun.I have put 600 rounds down range with it and no problems so far.Its not much of a soft shooter like the 709 and not my favorite range gun,but my 15 year old son love to shoot it.It does have some kick.
