Look for oil leaks at the rear main seal and check the frame for rust, at the rear before the frame bends up for the axle.

Did anybody ever say what kind of firearm was used? I didn't read the cnn article. Seems I remember they reported he had to reload it 5 times?

Have a xd9 subcompact,carried it for a while.Wife took it over after firing a couple of mags through it.She likes it over the shield I got for her.Very under rated pistols.I have no idea how many rounds have been shot out of it.Everyone that has shot it likes it.

Just ran 200 rounds through my wife's new shield 9.She did really well with it.No failures at all and she put it on target better than I did.

Been trying to talk my brother in law out of his 86 cj 7 with the 6 cylinder,4 speed renegade.He wont part with it or restore it.Just sits under a tree for the last 10 years.
