1. Michael I bet that's what there talking about when there calling a match director EVIL
2. You can forget trying to convince free Idaho (Ken) of anything if it isn't by the rule book he's got a dry sense of humor other than that he's a pretty Interesting guy, just set in his ways and a matter of fact I enjoyed talking with him at the Nationals last Sept. Now then If I remember correctly only a percentage of an affiliated clubs matches has to be IDPA and as long as its not listed as or called a IDPA match (some call them different names They can even be scored the same as IDPA ) anything goes just what ever the Match Director wants to do. There's a couple guys on here that's a lot more knowledgeable than I am about this and they could give better advice on Outlaw IDPA type matches. I personally think when your providing a service you got to make your customers happy.
3. dethspec   Just like ever one said you don't need to be classified to shoot the local club matches..Shooting a classifier is a good way to judge your progress and comparing your scores to the next one you shoot. If your wanting to shoot a sanction match your supposed to be classified and the soonest major match that's close is Manchester and they have the Southern Regional and its usually Memorial weekend and that's the last of may so you got plenty of time. By all means don't let not being classified stop you from shooting the local club matches.
4.   T.J. I think this will help a lot shooting indoors and If you got the red site I got a extra green if you need it.I can mail ya one Good luck at the S&W Nats.what is it about 6 weeks away?
5.         If you really gotta have 1 sooner Gallatin gun club is having a classifier Feb.9th per there web page
6. A 1/10 of a sec is a 1/10 of a sec whether there was 2 shooters or 200 what's that got to do with the quality of a holster? My comment about winning by .90 was showing a new shooter how much such a small amount of time can make in a match with a good holster.   Not that it matters but there was 5 SSR shooters 1M, 3 EX and 1SS in the match I was referring to.
7. I've got most all the holsters and some's pretty good and some's junk but the first time I tried one of Master-Tac's revolver holsters it took a .10 of a sec.off my draw. Now a .10 of a sec. aint much but for 12 stages thats 12 draws and that comes to 1.20 sec's and I've won DC by just .90 of a sec.
8. Bill and Robin Dukemineer own Master-Tac they make really good quality holsters and mag carriers and they also shoot at Manchester.
9. The Texas star is Illegal in IDPA. Daniel draw out your stage and submit it to Mike ( only 25% can be on steel on a stage and 10% in the match)If its legal and safe there's no reason not to.
10. They did that at the Music City Cup it was pretty fun except the part where a  revolver shooter had to do a reload while prone it was still fun.
11. Now I can do that. Ya know that sounds like a good Idea maybe one that you have to crawl a few feet and shoot another target
12. I enjoyed the match alot of good stages. Its hard on us fat boys getting up out of the chairs LOL
13. I'll run my lead 38's through a 9mm sizing die somtimes when I'm running low.
14. I guess I'm just slow I still don't get it. It's just gonna take me a while.
15. Ya know I shot the match and cant make heads or tails of the scores. I was the only revolver shooter so that part wasnt hard. How do you figure it out?
16. Master-Tac makes a great holster. I have one for a Glock 34 that you could try out if you shoot at Gallatin.
17. The smoke you see when shooting lead is the lube on the bullet. Depending on how hot a powder you use is the amount of smoke. Theres more danger of lead poisoning in what you dont see then in what you do see. Id be concerened about a indoor range that didn't provide enough ventalation that would get rid of any smoke even if they were shooting lead.
18. Use what you got already if you dont have one theres really only 2 choices a Ruger GP100 38/357 with the 4'' barrel or the S&W L or K frame 38/357 with a 4'' barrel. You can shoot a 38 in a 357 and 38's has a lot less RECOIL. Really the Ruger has a 4 1/8 barrel built like a tank but its really hard to get the trigger as good as a S&W, I havent tried a K frame so I really dont know about them I know there lighter than the L frame that I shoot Just try to get one that has adjustable sights. Your reloads will kill you so get some Comp III's or jet' speed loaders and practice, practice, practice
19. I was the revolver guy that started on stage 3 . Just what everyone else says just shoot what ever you got to start with. Its all fun.

21. Is Orsa gonna have a IDPA classifier anytime soon?
22. You do know that sat. is opening morning of rifle/deer season. I bet it will be a fun match.
23. If momma aint happy there aint NOBODY gonna be happy
24. Id like to but I done regestered for the Music City Cup. Sounds like a good cause
