  5. I used to use a empty pint varnish can with the lid and the alcohol wouldn't evaporate when it was sealed. I used it for a heater I'd stuff it full of old socks then fill it up with alcohol, felt real good when I was hunting and about froze to death. its real easy to put out by just placing the lid on top of it.
  6. I spotted her right off. That's a good pic and article way to go Norma !!!!!!!

    The "Get Home" Gun

How is a person gonna protect his home if there isn't several people there he has to sleep sometime and they'll be few he can trust and as it gets worse he wont be able to trust near as many. After a week or so a man would be lucky to find any wildlife and if he does shoot a deer everybody around heard that gun shot and might want to take it from you.    One thing I haven't heard anyone say anything about if fishing gear and maybe a canoe or kayak  Were lucky here in TN everyone lives close to a body of water I think a man might survive a while on fish and nobody's gonna hear you catch a fish   Something else to think on
  11. Shoot SSR for a while you'll come up with all kinds of ideas
  12. under your arm !!!!! LOL
  13. somebody post the scores where we can see them
  14. When your using a speedloader gun be careful about straddling your belt with the speedloader if it hits the little button in the center it'll dump all your rds on the ground you have to use your pockets or store them upside down with the handle in your belt or pocket Im sure others may do it different but thats how I store um.
  15. I see your from Knoxville just try out ORSA at OakRidge There IDPA match is the first sat of the month heres a link    http://www.orsaidpa.com/
  16. It was a really good match there was a mixture of all kinds of stages something for everyone there was a couple steel stages and one of them had 32 pcs of steel seems like there was a few shooters that run out of ammo before they neutralized all the steel, there was also a blind stage no previews at all which was different that was a really fun stage. One thing that impressed me was the stages were designed for all levels of shooters and still be challenging for the better shooters they had some good BBQ and fixing for lunch. All the SO's done a great job I think everyone had a good time The best part is there's going to be a pretty good Christmas for several children this year and thats what its all about anyway.
  17. I'm sorry but to shoot this match on fri would cost me close to $500
  18. I'm also bringing a Gift Certificate from Master-Tac worth $100 for holster and accessories.
  19. I maybe wrong but the way I understand it is there's no classes or divisions just a heads up match with a 10 rd max on mags with IDPA legal equipment
  20. I'm looking forward to shooting this match I think it'll be a lot of fun even though it might be a little much using a revolver
  21. You better watch watch out for all those lead magnets they put on the NT's they'll pull that bullet over every time
  22. I've killed 3 so far this year with my truck does this count?
  23. This is with my carry gun its a S&W 640 38spl    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRQjifsMhOw
  24. Most women don't like a lot of noise or feeling the recoil so to make the experience enjoyable make sure you got good hearing protection and and since your wanting to use a j frame use a all steel 38spl (that's what I carry) for less felt recoil  what ever you do don't start out with a 357 mag if you want her to keep on shooting.
