  1. Wow...I know the Walmart on Gallagher view here in Knoxville said something about a time where they won't sell ammo but I bought mine at 11pm one night so I assume it's after that. Seems like a weird thing with Walmart now. The price is different on certain things at certain stores. In relation to Ammo, the 100 round boxes of Winchester .40 is $28.97 at the Gallagher View Walmart and the one in Turkey creek and $29.97 at the one on Clinton Hwy. The one I'm looking for now is the Federal FMJ 22LR ammo in a 550 round box for $14.97. I can only find the Remington box of 550 for $18.97 and another 555 round box for $19.47 at the Walmarts on Gallagher View and Clinton Hwy. I didn't really look at the one in Turkey Creek though.
  2. Yep...state ammo tax of $0.10 per box. Honestly though, it's still a great deal. For me it's $28.97 + $0.10 per box of .40 and I can't find a better deal online once they add shipping in.
  3. Yuppers but I like to throw it out there for people just in case they have a family member or friend in the service that they can get to help them in this regard. It's also a good measure of used prices.
  4. Please tell me this is a joke.... Back to OP I don't know if this is a good deal or not but I can get a brand new one for $397 + tax and $10 background check.
  5. I need to get myself some .22LR and .40 snap caps but I have no idea where you purchase them. Can they be found at Wal-Mart or do I need to actually go to a gun store? How much do they normally run?

    hard choice....

Actually, I just thought of it. Call up Sig Sauer and ask them for pictures. If I remember correctly, Mark Hanson in the IOP sales division says he has a P226 with e2 grips. I don't know if it's the beavertail or not but call him up and ask him for some pictures.

    hard choice....

hehe well if mine had the e2 grips, I'd upload it for you but mine is the 2010 model without the e2. However, if you can find a picture of the Elite Dark P226 Beavertail with e2 grips, they'll have the same frame. But whichever one you plan on shooting later, unless there is a sale, it's cheaper to order them on your IOP for $280 with free shipping straight to your door. Edit: nvm...I can't tell if that's the e2 grip or not

P226 Classic 22 Beavertail Hmmm...I dunno then...but still a good deal. What caliber were you planning on shooting later on?

    hard choice....

Wait huh? Are you sure that barrel size is correct? According to Sig, the .22LR P226 barrels are 4.5" and if I'm not mistaken, that's with the threaded barrel (I don't see any other barrels listed for .22LR...they are all threaded). Do you know the exact model number you're getting? Is it the 226BR-22-BAS? That's a pretty decent price though if that's the price brand new. Hell, my price through Sig's IOP is $466 for one with the e2 grips and $406 without e2 grips. Which caliber were you wanting to shoot later on? I've shot my friends P220 but his is the normal DA/SA trigger. I've shot his with the .45ACP and then with the .22LR rounds. It's a pretty good one as well. The only thing, at least that he asked me when I was wondering about the two, is whether or not I cared about using single stack magazines over double stack.

I'm not the best at giving out advice but I love my Sig P226. I don't carry at all because I don't have my HCP yet so no input there but I do love shooting it (even though I'm a terrible shot right now) and you can't beat the caliber conversion kits. Mine doesn't have the beavertail though so no input there. I'm actually going to order the 22LR and 9mm caliber kits. If you can order through sig's IOP, they actually have really good deals compared to normal prices on the kits (well anything above the 22 anyway...the 22 is cheaper from other stores). Unfortunately, ordering guns is a whole different ballgame. You've gotta take 4 hours and call every PSSC on their list to find out if they actually have the model number you want and if it's the 2010 or 2011 model (differences in price and the e2 grips on the newer ones) and then find out what they charge for shipping.
  11. Thx for the advice everyone. My primary eye is my right eye. I've also noticed myself flinching but I can stop and wait and then take the next shot and it's always still to the left. I know it's not the barrel because my buddy took my gun and hit the center of the target in a nice grouping with 12 rounds. I'm getting a lot better though. I'm able to put a lot more rounds on the target and my lowest shots are in the 7's so at least something good can be said about that but I want that bullseye more . I guess what I'll do, to try and get used to the trigger as was suggested to me, is buy the .22 conversion kit and ping the targets to death to get better.
  12. How do you get better at shooting? I've shot around 200 rounds (198 actually) through my Sig P226 so far and although I'm getting better at hitting the target, my grouping is huge and I'm always shooting to the left. I generally hit the 8 and 9's on the target but it's always to the left. My friend was watching me and says I flinch. At first, I thought it was the .40 caliber bullets but then I shot his .45 ACP and had better grouping than with my own gun so it's not caliber. It seems that it's just me. So how can I get better.
  13. Not bad until you factor in the $9 or $6 to get into the show Oh well...I guess I'll just stick with the current good deal for the week. Gander Mountain is giving a $10 mail in rebate up to 5 boxes ($50 total) on 100 round boxes of Winchester .40. You can get them to price match Wal-mart for $28.97 which would make it around $21.75 after the rebate which isn't bad at all at $0.21 a bullet. I've never seen a good deal on guns at the shows anymore. Granted, I've only been to 4 total in Knoxville but it always seem that the guns there are right at MSRP or slightly below it and you can find them cheaper online even after shipping and FFL fees. I went to the one in Chilhowee Park a few months back and all I found were 3 Sig P226's and each one of them was $900+. I saw a Glock G22 and it was $5xx. However, they do have a massive selection which I loved and I got to look and touch a lot of guns before making my final decision which is definitely worth the $9 admission.
  14. Did you by chance see any good prices (less than $0.24) on any .40 ammo? That's my reason for going tomorrow and to see if someone has a Sig P226 Elite Dark with Threaded Barrel.
  15. I want to, again one day when I actually do get the HCP, carry around my back area. It's just more convenient for my movements.
  16. How about a deal section added into the selling section for users to post online deals. Granted we can all search the net far and wide for them but it would help keep more traffic on this site (to what degree, who knows). Just a suggestion
  17. Nice review I wish I could have caught you earlier though (well you would have had to wait a few days though). Jetguns has the Sig Pro SP 2022 9mm for $371 with free shipping. Granted after FFL fee ($30 for me including background check), it's $401 and you have to wait a few days to get it. Sig 2022 9MM CS 10 XGRP -- for Sale at JetGuns $371.00 However, I love reading about people and their sigs I bought a Sig P226 with the help of the people on here and love it. I do have one question though about your 220. Is it the one that comes stock with the e2 grips? I'm asking because I'm wondering if it's worth $100 to get them installed. I bought a 2010 Sig P226 with Sig Nightsights over the 2011 with the e2 grip kit. The one thing that has always stood out in the reviews is the SRT and I'm wondering if it helps. Also, does your 2022 conceal pretty well? Where do you wear your holster? I figured that one day when I can actually use it, I'd get my permit and choose between my 226 or get the 2022 since it's more of a compact.
  18. Nice Thanks for posting. I, unfortunately, have to work Saturday during the day but I may drop by on Sunday just to see if there's any ammo deals. I'd like to get some .40 ammo for less than $0.29 a bullet for a change .
  19. I could go for a dark purple Sig or possibly a Turquoise but that's just silly. I'll stick with black on black with black and a spritz of black for good measure
  20. Nice although it kind of defeats the purpose of having a subcompact gun to put a 33 round clip on it. Nice job shooting it in the video though...33+1 in the vid?

Thx I was hoping it would be Sig hehe

    Good Deal on XD?

So what would be the Honda/Acura?
  23. Okies...after looking at this thread for a bit and only seeing one comic, I decided to look for another but the results that came up are....weird to say the least and this is the best I can do.
