  1. That is by far the most hilarious ending to this story but I have to admit...I think I would have the left the part out about hiring a hooker...i'm sorry...escort.

    No ammo

40 S&W handgun ammo ammunition - AmmoSeek.com gun-deals.com - User-Submitted Gun & Ammunition Deals AmmoEngine: .40 S&W / .40 Smith & Wesson, Instock For Sale Premium & Discount Ammunition, Ammo Deals Either one of those will give some decent prices. Slickdeals.net will have a couple of posts about good ammo deals but nothing amazing. Realistically speaking, unless you're buying 1000 rounds at a time, it's hard to beat Wal-Mart's prices on Ammo when you factor in shipping costs. My Federal Ammo costs $16.97 a box at Wal-Mart or $0.34 a round. The cheapest price I can find online is $12.95 for a box of 50 which is good until you add in that $10 for shipping. If I want more, they have a box of 250 .40 Remington UMC's for $70 which comes to $0.28 a round. See what I mean about being hard to beat Yeah unfortunately, the .40 and .45 bullets really jumped in price. $2 a box for Federal 50 round boxes for .40 and $3-$4 depending on the Walmart for .45. The 9mm is still sorta around the same price but I think it went up $1 a box. Thankfully, they now have 250 round bricks of Remington which are slightly cheaper and my Walmart has really been beefing up their selection of Rifle ammo lately. They now carry like 6-7 different brands of .223 ammo instead of just one or two. I think before they only had the 100 round "value" box and the small box of Remington .223. Now, they've got TulAmmo, American Eagle, something that starts with a P and a few more. I was even in one in Lenoir City and the guy behind the counter told a customer that he could order a gun and have it shipped to Walmart. Not 100% sure if he meant from Walmart's catalog or as an FFL but still a pretty decent thing to do. Now all they need are good self defense rounds instead of just WWB and Hornady's. Edit: They are $77 in price so $0.31 a round.
  3. There's not really very much information in there at all and I doubt the guy has even tried Window's 8 and is just posting to put something out there. The developer preview for Windows 8 is actually pretty decent. The installation time is pretty good and it will run pretty decently on really old hardware as well. I installed it on my old Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 754 with 512MB of DDR 400 RAM and it actually ran pretty good. The only bad thing about it (this is the desktop version so keep that in mind) is that it uses about 10GB of HDD space for the initial install but after that, it's all good. The tablet version I can actually see being pretty awesome. The Metro UI is actually pretty decent but I would rather they still kept the old start menu as well.
  4. Wow...that's not bad at all then.
  5. I just found this on armslist.com Advanced Holster - Home And I rather like the price of their IWB holster but I was curious as to if anyone here has any experience with them.
  6. Don't feel bad...they got me as well when I went to order a P226 .22LR Conversion kit. They took my credit card info, charged my card at 9:30AM, then sent me an email at 2pm stating that they were going to call me to tell me that apparently the item I just paid for was out of stock (never came up when they were taking my credit card info at all) and that I should really call them back at their phone number. Now, I'm not really quick to anger but every time I read that email, I got madder. I never got a phone call at all from them. I just got an email stating that they were going to call me to tell me this but that I should really call them. Of course, I didn't get home until after 9pm and they are of course closed and I'm mad. So I decided to do the only thing I could do at 9pm which was make a post on resellerratings.com about my experience at Buds. I kid you not when I say not 5 minutes later, I got a call from Timothy at Buds who monitors all their resellerratings posts and who apologized and refunded my money right then and there for me. I was still irritated but some what appeased so I bumped their rating from a 1 to a 2 but it killed my experience with them entirely. However, on a different side of the scale...there's a lot of people who seem to have the absolute best experiences with Buds...so to me that says it's hit or miss.
  7. I had a Mac...I went back...then sold the Mac for $200 more than I paid for it because people believe brand marketing over common sense.... I bought a new PC Laptop that runs circles (quite literally doubles the performance I was getting out of the Mac) and the best part was that it cost less than the Mac...imagine that...more performance and cheaper Back on topic though...glad your issues are resolved. Another good way of cleaning your system is to run "combofix.exe" just search google for it and ONLY download it from bleepingcomputer.com. It's fantastic at cleaning through other's machines for me. Backups are very important as well. If you don't have one, grab yourself a 1TB external hard drive and just backup your good stuff once every week or so and that will literally help out tons.
  8. The easiest way I did it was to just go to all my favorite locations like normal but remember to stop when going in and just look at the door for any stickers or postings about guns. If none, don't worry about it. If they have one, mark it down the list I keep with me.
  9. That is a fantastic story.
  10. Have you tried a Sig P226 or P229 (4.4" for P226 and 3.9" for P229)? If you would like to try one, Coal Creek Armory has a P226 9mm in their rental shelf that shoots amazingly well. I actually went there and shot it and that was the deciding factor on getting it as my first handgun.
  11. Uhm...make people stop getting their licenses suspended?
  12. 18 days with weekends included for me.
  13. I didn't see the video the first I saw this but OMG. Screw what I said earlier, I don't know if I would have drawn but I would have damn sure got involved with that. I mean, the dude recording this is screaming "she's having a seizure" at the end while still doing nothing. I mean, I understand that self preservation is natural but defending someone who obviously needs it should be natural as well.
  14. .357 Sig is an awesome round on paper. It has more power than a standard 9mm with the stopping power of a .40. However, it's also more expensive than the 9mm and the .40 so you may want to take that into consideration. Personally, I wouldn't own a .357 sig unless I was really into reloading the round. The Sig P250 though is a special gun. I've heard reviews going both ways and not sure which one is accurate or not. Personally, I shyed away and went for the P226. The Sig SP2022 (like the guy mentioned above) is in the same price range (less than $400 shipped from most vendors) and has a good DA/SA trigger vs the striker fire of the P250. The only good thing the P250 has going for it are the caliber X-Change kits that let's you change between calibers on the fly but the P22x series all have them as well. So you're really not mission much. I will say this much though. If you do get a P226, buy the .22LR with Beavertail model first and then buy the Caliber Conversion kit for the caliber you want. It's much cheaper this way and gives you the beavertail frame which you can't get otherwise unless you buy the tactical or elite models.
  15. For anyone who wants a Mac, I always ask why? Will you be doing any advanced image editing? Are you a DJ? Do you have the desire to do any dj'ing? If the answer to those questions is no, you really don't "need" a Mac specifically and it should be left to features and bang for buck. Play around with the OS and just see if you like it. Just know that software for Mac will be more expensive than for PC just due to the larger competition on PC applications vs Mac. In my experience, I've always passed on Macs but my reasons deal solely with features. For 3 grand, you're getting similar (I say similar because it depends on what you're comparing) features to a $1200 PC laptop. Just pick the absolute best PC laptop you can find and compare it spec wise to the Mac.
  16. It really is hard to say what you would do. I would step in but that's just me. If I were an employee though, I would just call the police and do nothing. The simple reason is because you'll be fired if you step in as it makes the company liable.
  17. lolz at least someone else read that
  18. I'm guessing that by the vagueness of the article, it's a mistress. Or at least that's how it seems to me.
  19. This is silly. This is something that could have been avoided.
  20. Coal Creek Armory had a special for $60 for their class but I'm not sure if it's still going on. Normally they are $90. On Target has their classes for $60 all the time I believe. Knox County Sheriff's Office has one that a lot of people like but it's like $120. Shooting For Women Alliance has a class that's pretty good and priced right if you have a female that needs one as well or you are female Contact Shooting for Women Alliance.
  21. Or use it in a way that's productive
  22. Well maybe they'll finally get back to the gun they were supposed to be using in the first place i.e. the Sig P226. I would shun the military if it switched to anything plastic. I guess but the advantage of the 9mm is velocity and price
  23. It seriously should be. I did mine yesterday (almost a week after getting my HCP) and it was amazing.
  24. The Wally Walk was officially amazing. Apparently even with my normal tshirts on, my friend couldn't even tell that my gun was on me. I enjoyed it immensely. I think I'll carry everywhere I can from now on.
  25. That's not too bad at all so long as it's after taxes .
