  1. Word is that Nashville Armory plans to do some indoor IDPA. But not sure when.
  2. Odds are I will be able to make it.
  3. This was a fantastic match. Interesting and challenging stages, both in assembly and shooting. Lots of stuff to keep you hopping, including the surprise thunderstorm at the end. I had a fantastic time even though I totally sucked on Friday. Was great to meet so many awesome people that came through Stage 5. Congrats to all the winners, and great job SOs! And thank you Michael for all your hard work. Try not to fall into any more ditches.
  4. I can absolutely recommend Freedom Munitions.
  5. Ha!!
  6. Went by today myself. Decided to change my membership from a weekday only to a full membership based on meeting the guys last week, and today's experience. I am looking forward to them getting the wireless all set up so I can sit in the lounge and work. The members lounge has a soda fountain and a Keureg brewer. Shot some on the right half of the range. The trolley system is the smoothest I have used. Can't wait to try out the left side with all the super cool target controls. Word is they plan to do indoor IDPA starting, hopefully, in a month or so.
  7. Have you sanded down the projections on the side of the magazines? The kit instructs you to sand them down just enough for the mag to drop free easily, yet not so much that it wobbles all over the place. I didnt do it at first and had the same issue. Once I fixed that I was good to go.
  8. Worked out to be a pretty good day. By the end it got nice and sunny. I met my goal for the day by making Sharpshooter in both SSP and ESP. But so close to Expert in SSP I actually felt a little disappointment, LOL. Ah well, maybe I can slow down enough to actually hit all my shots on Stage 3 next time.
  9. I will be there. Hopefully the weather cooperates better than last time.
  10. Our church has emergency plans that include myself and the other people that carry in rather prominent roles. Which reminds me, might be about time for another drill.
  11. I knew I was gonna be mad I had to miss this one. I was right.
  12. I think he is a pretty solid choice. He helps bring in the more conservative base and the Tea Party. And based on my more liberal friends posts on Facebook dismissing him I think he will have a big impact.
  13. I would love to have a strict constitutionalist. But, he also needs to have a foreign policy that isn't suicidal.
  14. Mostly. Though I could do with more debate on issues and less personal bs. But this is the interwebs.
  15. Good points, especially the last ones. But, Paul is way more isolationist than is healthy. Though I do like the idea of treating our southern border porosity as an invasion and using troops to backstop the border patrol. But he wants to leave some key allies hanging in the wind while taking a reactive rather than proactive stance on countries that really freaking hate us. Iran for instance. It is a nice break from all the foreign crap we do get dragged into but it is a little too head in the sand. If he had pulled back on that he might have been viable too. And yes, the meddling we have done with Iran-contra and Hussein was dumb. In hindsight. Johnson though is farther along than Paul. He wants to pull all the troops out as well as completely open our borders. A recipe for suicide as bad as reelecting Obama. But both of them have great ideas for encouraging companies to come back to the US. Both have fantastic ideas for encouraging growth. And both are awesome from a Constitutionalist, and personal liberties front. But that isn't enough.
  16. Don't get me wrong. I am not thrilled with Romney. And I am not thrilled with the way the establishment Republicans have been acting either. And Bush did a lot of harm. But that being said, with the choices I have, I am more interested in getting rid of Obama than anything else. Johnson and Paul have some great ideas for personal liberties and jump starting the economy. And I would love to see Romney work with both of them. But Paul's foreign policy is not great, and Johnson's is worse.
  17. This And this. The Paulbots and the hard line Gary Johnson Libertarians are really pissing me off with their sanctimonious bullcrap. They say they care about the country, but if they did then they would realize that getting Obama out is the first, very necessary, step. So what if Romney wasn't your first choice.
  18. I MUST get classified. Stupid rain this weekend. LOL.
  19. I will be there. Just trying to decide if I want to do just SSP or add ESP in as well.
  20. There is one in Fairview. While I applaud Denny's I am pretty ticked that there are networks (assuming it is the networks causing it) that are making them do a version without the 2nd amendment part. I would like to know which are and are not so I can make my displeasure known.
  21. I have to admit I was impressed by the trip. Even falling you exercised perfect gun safety. And I think Hognut pushed you. All part of his "Whooooo!!" strategy.
  22. As it should be. Was a good time. Our group had a solid SO too. LOL
  23. Thanks a lot Mark! I waited until I verified that it is, in fact, there. LOL
  24. I grew up listening to Chapin thanks to my parents. I still remember they had tickets to see him when he died. Recently I introduced my family, and a friend's family to him. Hearing them all singing "30,000 pounds of bananas" was awesome.
