I found a holster that had an accessory to allow it to hang off the front of your car seat between your legs. I'll have to find it again and post it on here.

Reloads FTF Taurus PT140 Pro
mdmoseley replied to mdmoseley's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
K. I figured out my other problem. I broke the larger spring in the firing pin assembly when I was putting it back together. The guide rod is plastic and I broke off the end of it. Anyone know if there is an aftermarket assembly that is not plastic? -
Reloads FTF Taurus PT140 Pro

Interesting change that has happened now. I pulled the firing pin assembly apart and cleaned it really good. When I put it all back together it seems like it fires correctly but when I dry fired it before it didn't have to be recocked. Now when I dry fire I have to cock it again. Maybe this is the way it is supposed to be. I know my buddy's G27 is like that but my Taurus hasn't. Did I put something back together wrong? -
Reloads FTF Taurus PT140 Pro

That's very possible. That's one of the reason I'm going to pull it apart. I've been wanting to clean that all out really good anyway. When I put my last primers in I didn't apply as much pressure as I had the previous ones. I should be getting to those rounds in the next couple of weeks. If cleaning that firing pin area out doesn't get it then we will see what the next set of reloads does. -
Reloads FTF Taurus PT140 Pro

Found a teardown for the slide. I want to clean it really good first. If that doesn't get it then I may check with a gunsmith I know about getting a different spring. Here is the link I found. http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/index.php?topic=81.0 -
Thought maybe it was just my pistol or that I was doing something wrong during reloading but I have seen a few others having the same problem. I'm getting several FTFs one the first trigger pull but usually if I pull again it fires on the second attempt. My buddy has a G27 that has no problems firing the same rounds. Using winchester primers with Hogdon's Titegroup powder I believe. Don't have it in front of me so I can't be 100% certain on the powder. I clean and oil my gun regularly. I don't have any issues with factory loads or even factory reloads (Ultramax is the only one I have tried). Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have the exact same problem. I thought it was just the primers i used or maybe I had pressed the primers in too far. I'm using winchester's what do you use? If I pull the trigger again if it doesn't fire the first time then usually fires. Edit: I have a PT-140 pro and I love mine as well. 0 problems other than it not firing reloads.

Just got this back from Judd Matheny: We hear the bill in subcommittee on the 19th and I hope we can get it out. I wholeheartedly support it. There may be an amendment brought forward that disallows carrying a firearm in 21 and over only establishments, but you may carry in restaurants that serve alcohol and admit those under 21 if you are not drinking. I can support this forward progress also if we can't get the bill forward in any other way. As far s getting to the House Floor, where it will pass, it could be from a few weeks minimum to the first week of May. Judd Matheny Have heard back from 3 of the 6. Janis as expected didn't say much. The other two said they fully support it. Hopefully they can get it out to the floor for a vote by April.

LOL. Hope he had a couple of buses cause he would have needed them for all the people he rounded up.

Marswolf: You are going to have to help me understand your opinion on recreational areas. It's not a grey area. It's clearly listed as an area that is off limits unless you are one of the exemptions listed. If you are in the exemptions list then it would only apply to you.

15 states that do not honor the TN HCP
mdmoseley replied to cadillacdude1975's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
What is funny is Florida will let you get a permit as a non-res but they will only recognize res permits. Does that mean they will not honor their own non-res permits? EDIT: Dang Fallguy beat me to that. Should have refreshed the page. -
Here is the way I see this (just my opinion) and interpret it from law. Tenn law says: "On the grounds of any public park, playground, civic center or other building facility, area or property owned, used or operated by any municipal, county or state government, or instrumentality thereof, for recreational purposes." A library to me would not fall under recreational purposes so unless it is posted per the statue allowing businesses or government buildings the option of banning firearms then it's not off limits.
