  1. I have a 140Pro and it does not fit it correctly despite stating it does. I ordered one from Comptac. Fits perfect.
  2. I have a vanguard outback. 36c i think is the number. Has an internal locking system as well as pad locks. Will hold whatever gun and ammo you want. Extremely durable and rigid. Can find them under 40-50 if you look online.
  3. That would be 100% correct. I know the guy who was fired personally. Can't wait until TN passes a parking lot bill to get rid of BS like that.
  4. Did they specifically tell you they will only ship to an FFL on these magazines or are you reading it in the description of an auction? Alot of auctions on gunbroker have that verbaige in them on all their auctions because it's easier than trying to only put it on firearm auctions.
  5. you would have to prove one of the 3 of them provided the alcohol to the 17yo. unless one of them confessed you wouldn't get a warrant much less a convinction. You might be able to get a wreckless endangerment of a minor charge since the three adults allowed the kid to drive intoxicated. As for the DUI by consent, one of them would have to be the owner of the vehicle. That is the only way.
  6. The passengers wouldn't get charged under normal cirumstances. Would most likely just be getting a ride home with a sober friend. I did arrest a passenger for PI a few weeks ago but it was because he got out of the car and started interferring with me performing FSTs on the driver. Only way one of the passengers get charged with DUI by consent is if he/she owned the car. As far as charging them with PI you have to meet one of three elements: 1. A danger to themselves. 2. A danger to the public. 3. Being a nuisance to the public. All of these paraphrased of course.
  7. Hum. That's a good question. If they specifically tell you not to come back armed then yes you would be arrested/cited. If they just asked to put it in the car but to come back armed then you probably wouldn't. BTW most likely they would just take you aside and ask you to keep it concealled. Wal-Mart does not have a policy against carrying firearms unless carrying it openly. They do ask to keep it concealled.
  8. If you were asked to leave and not return armed regardless whether it was posted correctly or not hen you will be either cited or arrested for trepassing. THe best thing to do is carry so it will never be noticed then you will never have a problem.
  9. They showed us a video in the academy of a guy that was shot multiple times but didn't go down. One of the shots was a point blank shot to the top of the head straight down. The guy was still fighting a good bit longer. Can't remember the total number of shots but I can tell you drugs had alot to do with it as is most likely this case here as well. And yes we are taught to take a cranium shot but the melon is a hard nut to crack. More often than not a pistol round will run around the outside of the skull under the scalp unless the shot is pretty close to 90 degrees to the head or a really close shot.
  10. You are fine. Just make sure you are shooting in a safe direction. If a call did come in we would come out but just to make sure you are shooting safely.
  11. If it is dented in I would not reload it because it could change the pressure with less volume inside the case. If it just flattened the side then it should be ok.
  12. check gtdist.com as well.
  13. Not sure about other jurisdictions but Murfreesboro has officers that reviews all the tickets submitted by the company that runs the cameras. They have the final say before the tickets are mailed out. I don't have a problem with them nor do I feel my job is threatened by them. It's pretty simple. Don't run the light and you won't get a ticket. What is funny to is that alot of people who complain about the cameras are the first to whine about someone who runs a red light when one of us is not around.
  14. Being a LEO I want to know just so there's no surprises. I've pulled over a few people over that have been armed and have a valid permit. They have enformed me at first contact. I have never asked for someone to disarm nor do I intend to unless there is a legitimate cause for concern. On the same note I'm not going to treat someone different just because they didn't tell me. As for steelharp's account I can assure you this is not the norm or there is more to this story than he is saying.
  15. Don't they sell alcohol there anyway? If they do it would be a moot point on the sign.
  16. I was just there tonight. It is correctly posted and has been for about the last year or so.
  17. Here is something to ponder also. Florida will only recognize a permit if you are a resident of the state it was issued from. However FL will issue non-resident permits to people from other states. Per their own restriction does that mean they will not recognize their own permit since the holder is not a resident of the state??
  18. I had to take a CPR class for our dept and while we were there one of the other deputies asked what I was carrying. I thought I was goign to have to administer CPR to the lady at the front counter when I pulled up my shirt to show him. The sad thing is she knew we were LEOs but for some unknown reason to me she didn't think we were armed. Let's think about this for just a minute. I'm a police officer and I am on duty in plain clothes and you didn't think I would be armed????
  19. As long as you follow federal law for legal transportation of a firearm you shouldn't be restricted in where you go.
  20. Supposedly that was staged.
  21. The one at the airport is legal. I will be up there tomorrow and will take a picture.
  22. FOID card only applies to IL residents. Loaded magazine is considered a loaded firearm especially if stored with the firearm.
  23. if you are goign out there just transport them back with you. buy a couple of hardsided cases. and yes even if you are flying. It's not as big a hassle as most people think it is.
  24. Not a good idea in IL. Some of the counties are not following state statues on handgun ownership and possesion but some still are. That could get you a trip to jail. The other thing you really need to be careful of is when you go to this competition it likely will be considered a school activity. Be sure to check Missouri law on school carry.
