  1. Simply implying you have a weapon doesn't meet the agg assault statute. Learned that one the hard way on an arrest I made. Inorder for an agg assault to prevent possession of any firearm there are specific criteria. One being the agg assault had to have a weapon involved. That being said simply having a felony record wont preclude you from owning long guns just handguns. Gun possession on domestics can be addressed by the judge in a plea agreement also. The case will be interesting to see which way it goes.
  2. You can always get a Dillon Rapid Trimmer. It will work on other presses as well.
  3. I didn't read every post but there seems to be some confusion on the felony thing. Yall really need to actually read the TCA. Per Tennessee law only felonies involving drug offenses, involving the use or attempted use of force, violence or a deadly weapon are prohibited from possessing ANY firearm. All other felonies are only prohibited from possessing specifically a handgun. If the felony conviction doesn't fall under the first subsection in 39-17-1307B then a convicted felon could still possess a rifle.
  4. No the signs do not mean anything to us. The only place we can't carry is at the courthouse when on personsal business and on school property unless we first notify the principle or other staff if not available that we are on the premises and armed. The second has some other stipulations that go along with including department SOP seeing that most schools have county officers working then anyway.
  5. you can check gunbroker. a few people on there have them reasonable.

    Colt WTF?

i have one of the para dao. i'm glad they have it because my dept SOP won't us carry a SA weapon.
  7. You know what a gun without a round in the chamber is?? A paper weight.
  8. First off I'm not advocating breaking the law in any way but I will say this. If you did carry past a sign the only way you can be arrested/cited for it is if a LEO observes you carrying in a prohibited location. This is a misdemeanor charge and must be observed by the LEO. If you are no longer in the prohibited area if and when one is called then you can not be charged. Now the property owner could prosecute it if so inclined but the likelihood of that is really slim. Again I'm not advocating breaking the law I'm just stating fact about misdemeanor citations/arrests.
  9. Also there is the issue of taxation. if you moved alot of assets to a family member's name and it was more than 22k/yr they would have to pay inheritance tax. Simply changing it to your spouse wouldn't suffice either because ya'll are married and what is yours is hers.
  10. Just wait til January 1 when u start reporting your insurance benefits that your company pays. That's another 8-12k of income you will be reporting and eventually probably paying tax on to pay for ObamaCare. They say you won't right now but I could see it being slipped in down the road.
  11. he must have. we were able to run warrants, stolen item checks, etc all day. those all run off ncic.
  12. NCIC has been up all day. We have been running stuff all day. TCIC might have been down for firearm purchases.
  13. I work for the county and I haven't heard of this before. I'll have to do some checking. We do have School Resource Officers in every school so that might have something to do with it.
  14. Actually alot of PDs have gone away from 9mm due to over penatration. Thru and thrus hit innocent people on the other side.
