  1. hide in the back seat and surprise them
  2. i didnt read the whole thread but the reason health ins. is so expensive is because healthcare is so expensive and healthcare is so expensive to those of us who pay for it is because you can go to the doctor or ER or whatever and NEVER pay for it. if hospitals started sueing these people who dont pay for healthcare maybe people wouldrealize that you have to pay for everything, nothing is absolutely free. people who get free healthcare are the reason the overall cost is sooo high
  3. when i sold two guns i had recently i was forced to have a record of it ( or it was highly reccommended) because i had to prove to the court that i did not own a gun, or risk them being put into state custody. all other times i did not require anything when selling a gun. even though most looked to be upstanding citizens. i have encountered having to give info in order to complete the sale with someone else, but its not a big deal to me either way, as if anything were to happen, you bought it from some guy on the street corner or you sold it to some guy in a black hoodie and sunglasses in an alley.
  4. no records, no legal issues some will argue it is wise to keep records, but not required. just swap the cash for weapon and go your separate ways
  5. maybe the barret rec7? 6.8 is the logical choice if they change calibers
  6. no kidding how the hell is someone going to make a 7.62x54R rifle in select fire weighing less than an m16 when they cant make a 7.62x51 rifle in the same configuration? i bet the military has more 762nato ammo than they do 762x54r ammo laying around. besides, in reality, the military is looking for a cartridge with more knock-down power than 556 but not the recoil or weight of 762. so ive heard. and that is IF they ever replace the m4/m16
  7. ding, ding, ding! this is not a gun nut quiz, more about ammo than anything. bout the only ones that should have been there IMO were the maker of 44mag and pre 64 winchester, rest did not belong. heaven help you if you are under 30 years old and dont know about tv shows or movies in the 50s and 60s that had guns in them
  8. i got 4/10
  9. i was wondering what the heck was going on and went back and looked and the post was edited so that is what threw me off
  10. actually now they make a single shot bolt action .50BMG upper for the AR-15 receiver, available with up to 30" barrels
  11. nightrunner

    Ruger Mark 3

that is the one downside to it, complicated tear down. and difficult reassembly
  12. anybody here know anything about the .375Chey-Tac? from what i can find out, its a .408 casing with a .375 bullet. with the right bullet, its supposed to be capable of approx 2800 yards kill shot. on a sniper forum that i was reading on, its supposed to be the hottest thing going right now as far as anti-personnel, extreme long range rounds go.
  13. i order pizza so much from papa johns that today they called me asking if i wanted to order a pizza!
  14. why do they want albino deer? albinism is considered a mutation, and quite rare compared to the normal population.
  15. the probability of that is very high
  16. i would call the tech line if no one else comes up with anything
  17. cant say i have heard of anything like that. im guessing that you will have to do with a standard armored vest and a mesh tactical vest with molle attachments, and add a drop-leg holster for sidearm
  18. hahahaha! thats great!
  19. they choose 338 over .408 or .50 because 50 is primarily a anti-material and .408 is overkill in most cases. but the big thing is that a 338 is a much smaller and lighter rifle in most cases than a 408 or 50.
  20. probably because store policy says to lock it up at all times and some just dont do it either because they have been there longer and know when they can get by without locking it up or they just dont care because it would be aggravating to have to unlock the cabinet every time to get ammo. at manchester walmart if someone is in the sporting goods (good luck) most of the times the big ring of keys is hanging in the ammo cabinet lock, sometimes the door is even setting open.
  21. if you are just curious, carefully take apart the switch you took out and look at it and see what does what, lol
  22. there are times when it is perfectly acceptable to kill a fly with a sledgehammer.
  23. there are sometimes electricity cant be explained. honestly i dont know what is inside a single pole switch, but i know all it does is connect the two wires together that are hooked into it. something is probably loose inside the switch and causing it to act erratically
  24. if this is true, it points towards the switch being faulty, internally. the regular switch is only like 50 cents and the spec grade is less than a couple of dollars, not sure how much though. i usually dont buy them the contractor does. residential grade : $0.65 http://www.dale-electric.com/detail?itemnumber=1451-2W commercial grade : $1.85 http://www.dale-electric.com/detail?itemnumber=CS115-2W
