  1. absolutely 100% agreed. if you want to see just what a .50cal can do, you need to see this movie(Rambo). both in sniper rifle form and vehicle-mounted machine gun form. shooter was a great movie also i thought even though it isnt new.
  2. when i read pistol grip i was thinking a stock similar to a Benelli M4 which has the full shoulder stock with the pistol grip extending down, so that it still mounts on the shoulder but has the vertical grip to grip it better. i have to say that wasnt very smart IMO.
  3. full auto manufactured after '86 means civilians wont get it
  4. no problem at all, just noticed that there was no place to put in a review of businesses or any transactions. i actually wanted to share what a great experience i had a herogear but i just had to put it in the thread with pics since there was no forum for member/sponsor feedback
  5. could we get a member and sponsor feedback section? a place to report our good or bad dealings with other members and our sponsors.
  6. sorry but the asthetics of it just dont do anything for me.
  7. i have a XD service and i love it. i like the extra features it has over a glock, plus high magazine capacity and it just feels more natural than a glock to me.
  8. oh, it is VERY tempting. very nice shop they have there. they have a few class3 weapons that look awful nice....
  9. i have pics of my new black rifle and a new pistol, but first i have to tell you about my buying experience with Joe at Hero-Gear. There is a reason Hero-Gear has soooo many repeat customers. And now i am one. I wanted a AR-15 rifle. I talked to Joe via pms on here asking about a FTF trade with an individual on a colt AR, when he told me the deals he had at his shop. He also offered me a nice deal on trading in a handgun i had for sale on it. So I went down and checked them out, knew they were nice, but I could either get an AR or get 2 other guns i was wanting. I slept on it and decided that I needed that AR. When I went down there to get the rifle and trade in my pistol, he ended up giving me an AWESOME deal on the pistol trade in. I'll just say that he gave me at or ABOVE market value for it. Just awesome. Great guy and business to deal with. I'll be doing ALL my gun business there from now on. Just had to tell you guys how great the guys at Hero-Gear are! and now for pics and this is where it will reside and my guns new hat:D and some pics of my SA XD-45
  10. last time i bought ammo at walmart they had to have someone normally not from sporting goods to run the counter and when i got some .40S&W ammo, they asked if it was for a rifle or pistol...
  11. i have a marlin 60 and plan on getting a 10/22 soon. on my marlin 60 on very rapid shooting it will jam repeatedly, but that is about as fast as i can pull the trigger

great gun for the money. i had one for my first handgun too. nice but i knew from shooting other handguns that the trigger was horrible, very long. i sold it for what i paid for it used. and it NEVER jammed on me, id get one if they made it in .45 and someone made some accessories for them
  13. basically i want to add a vertical fore-grip, light/laser, railed hand guard, 2-point sling, eotech, possibly with a magnifier, and thats it. the carrying handle isnt removeable is it? i am looking at possibly trading for one. a guy wants my HK usp .40 + cash for the colt 6520 w/ scope, sling, tact. light, 15 mags,1krounds of ammo. says it only has 20 rounds shot through it. btw, herogear do you do installs?
  14. is there something different from colt ARs to other ARs? all parts interchangeable? what is this worth? LNIB can i add a railed handguard to it? can i mount a eotech sight to the carrying handle? thanks for any and all help
  15. does anyone have a website for colt? i cant find one that has their civilian guns on it.
  16. 10mm it is then any suggestions on a good 10mm pistol, the best i can come up with aside from high-end 1911s and older guns is a G20
  17. i would definetely be carrying FMJs. i thought the 10mm would be the best choice but thought that the high penetrability of the .357sig might be a better candidate.
  18. actually i was thinking more on the lines on a personal protection gun for when i am in the woods or just general wilderness. im going on a hunting trip this next fall/winter in east texas. im told there will be mountain lions but i want to be prepared for anything. and im not going to be carrying a .44mag for protection, just toooo heavy. im actually looking at a full size GLOCK either a G20 or a G31
  19. i predict Dale JR. makes a full sweep
  20. which round 10mm or .357 sig has the greater effective range? which one can go further with the least amount of drop. i know that 10mm has a more versatile selection of factory loads and more "knock-down power" but is a .357 sig comparable in range
