  1. I am looking at adding another pistol into the rotation or swapping my current pistol, P229 in .40/.357 for another...maybe? I have been looking into the FN Five Seven, Dan Wesson Valor VBOB, or Colt Commander Blued. I love 1911's and Sigs and trust both of them. I feel the Sig has more options but I feel like I am missing out without a 1911. I really like the Dan Wesson Valor but 1700 is steep. I have had Glocks, Springfield 1911's and almost everything else lmao. I love the capacity of the Five Seven though. Something about that Dan Wesson though just makes me want it lmao
  2. My grandfather got me into firearms but I grew up in a firearms free household. My dad was not that into them. I had pellet guns and such as a kid but always stared at my grandpas gun cabinet and he carried a .38 special Smith for over 30 years. I purchased my first pistol in 2005 and lost my butt on it from inexperience, dang Raven Arms .25, and what's funny is my stepdad sold it to me. I was going to buy a Rossi .357 snub from him too but my mom stopped that lol. Needless to say, I have the most firearms knowledge of anyone in my family now and I love shooting and firearms more than any other hobby I have; collecting movies, horror mainly lmao that's my story!
  3. I say take the problem out of rotation. Put that mag in your bag or toss it whatever u do dont put in the same drawer as your defense/carry mags. I am not sure on the followers but if they are super cheap get one and try it in your mag at the range put about 100 rounds through it. If all good, I would trust it! Secondly I have had Glocks but only have Sigs now because I like an all metal gun. I carry my Sig P229 with a TLR-1S at night and in the house. Keep your finger off the trigger and your gun won't fire where the light is unless you want it too. There are plenty of agencies and civilians alike that use pistol mounted lights. This is just my opinion.

    Sig MK25

Very nice pistol!! Are you gonna carry it or admire it? LMAO
  5. In today's economy I will buy from the cheapest person possible. sorry but my funds are not unlimited. I have been to that store and yes the prices I cannot justify and my whole family lives in Brentwood/Franklin area which is unfortunate that they think merchandise should cost more for the same product.
  6. It is a Milspec cause of the front sight. The GI model has a front sight that cannot be changed unless it is machined out and dovetailed. I have always had Springfield 1911. Now that doesn't mean it's not a nice piece. What is he asking? I once had a GI model I had all done up by Wilson Combat parts and I sold it for $900. All depends on what it's specs are.
  7. I'm sticking with; if it ain't broke don't fix it lol how does grease work compared to a good lube such as KeLube or Froglube synthetic.
  8. A rifle that has to go back to a manufacturer at 1k? Doesn't sound good?
  9. I was already thinking about that! Thanks for telling me. Hopefully CTD sends quality products that have not been tampered with but I guess there is always a possibility of a dud coming out of the factory. Have you had problems with new guns from online retailers?
  10. If the world goes to crap I'm pulling off doors and boarding up my brick house. I gotta go buy some nails lol besides that we got enough canned food an excellent pistol and my 2 scatter guns. I definitely need extra ammo though!
  11. No it's just the transfer fee that is 10 then TICS is 10
  12. Awesome! I used to be into knives alot and I have a ZT350 I carry. Great knife! I have to say though yours Hinderers sure are nice!
  13. Very nice! I have a question, what makes the Hinderer knife liked so much compared to like a ZT? I just saw the prices on these and you can buy a gun for what these cost lol. Let me know why I don't have one yet!
  14. Kelube IMHO is the best. Doesn't gum up in cold or run off in heat. Pick it up at Sinclairs.com. Springer used it to pass their Professional Model in the FBI trials.
  15. Im all about supporting local shops but I gotta support my wallet first and if it's a 50+ dollar difference I gotta take care of #1 I would rather give D&T my business before a pawn shop so I will see what he can do for me.
  16. I agree with D&T's policy on their rules. It did not bother me that they asked me it only bothered me that Lebanon Gun Shop asked me for no reason before I came in. I can see where a gun shop comes from on this issue and I will continue to go to D&T for my needs. It was the first time it happened to me. One of your associates wanted to see my pistol I had and he didn't want me to reload because of the recent pawn shop shooting. Either way i understand their stance.
  17. I will check then out and I believe the $10 TICS fee is tax free as well. I have never paid tax on it.
  18. Now that you mention that the second time I was in there a LEO was inquiring on the purchase of some class III vest and they gave that guy the royal treatment too! LMAO
  19. It appears you are the only one that has had this treatment at The Outpost. Do you work there? LOL
  20. Unfortunately I didn't get shot. I was really wanting another payday. No what it was is he forgot to ask me about my sidearm and I didn't volunteer right off after giving him my HCP to disarm. He was stressed I think or worried and secure at the same time haha
  21. Sounds naughty LMAO. I believe the shop was called Leather Master but I went blind right after walking in the store from the sausage posters on the walls so I can't say for sure
  22. I have only had one interaction with LEO while carrying. Another TGO member and I were doing an AR deal in Crossville. I parked in a secluded spot off 40 but my trunk was to McD's. I was showing the buying my AR in the trunk and had to pull it out to show the rest if it. After about 5 minutes six officers greeted us after they got a call on an assault weapon deal going down in the general store parking lot LMAO. Told then officer I had my HCP and DL in my wallet and I was armed he had me hand him my credentials. He turned around to go to his squad car then turned back to me and I asked him if he wanted to secure my weapon for his peace of mind. He disarmed me after the Serpa defeated him at first LMAO and put my loaded gun on the hood of his car, not my AR. The buyer had to inform him she had a weapon too and he did the same for her. It was funny the officers showed up with ARs as well and flak jackets. I had 11 mags loaded with 500 additional rounds of green tip in the trunk. Buyer had a defender shotgun in the trunk and a 1911. The officer when he arrived in scene informed the other officers I had armor piercing ammo. +1 for me! Overall the guys were nice and we talked for about 30 minutes and they even asked to buy my Eotech and if we wanted them to hang out while we finished up. Be careful in Crossville LMAO.
  23. Cant be a doctor of nurse if CONVICTED of a felony and she will have to get her record of arrest expunged if she is found not guilty or takes a plea deal and gets unsupervised probation under a misdemeanor and only if they are willing to drop charges after said probation period. Either way she is in deep caca that will take years to clear up if she can.
  24. The one and only time I had a LEO interaction in Crossville while doing a TGO trade LMAO, the officer removed my weapon and didn't even uncharge it which is funny that a civilian would ask me to do it. Long story short, I dont unload for no one. G&L let me unload and reload in the store when I was picking up another holster. D&T asked me to step outside to reload. I guess some people are paranoid.
  25. I was actually asked to unload my firearm once I stepped out of my car and went into my trunk. The lady there, I think the owners wife came to the door and asked me to unload my weapon, she saw it on my side. Another buddy of mine went there and he unloaded his weapon outside for a holster fitting and once he got the holster he tried to charge his weapon inside the store and they stopped him which I think is ridiculous. The owner told my buddy he uncharges his weapon at home pointed at a bucket of sand which is hilarious. Keep your finger off the trigger people!
