  1. I have had mine about 1 month and have carried everyday since I got the permit. I had to go to an event where wearing it would be difficult and I felt like I had lost my wallet or something.

I too like the Gen 4 grip and mag release better than the Gen 3.
  3. Guns & Leather, Greenbriar------$60 (the cheapest I've seen and very good) Handgun Carry Permit Classes
  4. Yea...I've heard good things about all the RCBS scales, but no more than I am going to load, it's hard to want to pay $100+ for some scales. I am so tempted to buy one of those cheaper scales, but something inside me says NO!
  5. Hey Mike, for the right price I'll take that RCBS Rangemaster off your hands. Gonna load a few turkey loads next year for the 20 ga and need an accurate scale, but speed is not my objection. Let me know if your interested. Tim
  6. Here's something even better, a review. This is from the optics section of the turkey forum I am a member on. This guy does a pretty comprehensive review of the Burris FF and also compares it to the Mueller. Burris Optics is also a member on this forum and they STAND behind this product. Let me know if you would like more pics beyond the review. Mine has a metal protector around it. Good Luck. 7. I use Burris Fast Fire II on both my turkey rigs and would NEVER use anything else. They handle the high recoil of all my turkey loads and have never failed. They run $200 to $250 depending on which mount you need. They are great red dots for the money.
  8. He's a member here on TGO...maybe he'll show up
  9. That's only if you plan on missing.... I had to say it.
  10. Go check out a Glock 36 in .45 acp. I really like mine and it is my EDC. Small and very easy to conceal in summer and winter and shoots really good. I'm sure you will get lots of suggestions, but for the size and caliber, its hard to beat the functionality of that model. Good Luck!
  11. Been watching his vids for a while. Seems to be a pretty humble guy...but he is one of the best shots I've ever seen with a pistol/revolver. Make sure you subscribe to his channel on youtube, best gun info out there!
  12. Yep the grip/magazine extensions from Pearce might help. Pearce Grip +0 Mag Extension for the GLOCK 36-www.glockmeister.com
  13. Thank you DADDYO for yet something else to waste my time. ENDLESS amounts of pictures that verify why you should "pack heat" in wal-mart. FUNNY STUFF!
  14. A person carrying a gun is DEFINITELY NOT the scariest thing I have ever seen at wal-mart! 300 lb women with tight cotten spandex pants that say "bootylicious" will make me run for cover.
  15. Thanks Mike! I guess when your life is boring it doesn't take too long to get your permit. Now I've got to figure out how I am going to EDC with dress pants and a tucked in shirt....that's a little more challenging. I've got a kholster IWB (similar to crossbreed), but in dress pants it's still a little "bulgy". I may have to find a good quality ankle holster for those days and just remove the firearm when at my desk at work.
  16. That's what I was thinking. I was still surprised since there was a holiday (July 4th) in that time frame. I would say that 15-17 days is about where they are right now with mailing time.
  17. Applied and fingerprinted on Monday June 27th and the permit arrived today (saturday). SO PUMPED!!!!!
  18. I am on day 10 of the wait......G36 is in the holster ready to go.
  19. I took my class at G&L and also used the .22. .45 ammo $17 per box vs .22 ammo $3.50, that is a no-brainer. Don't worry about it and go pass the class.
  20. Now there's a DEAL and a STEAL right there!
  21. D&T Arms - Goodlettsville/Rivergate Mall Specialty Arms - La Vergne, TN Guns and Leather - Greenbriar or Hendersonville
  22. Maybe David will chime in.....There were lots of XD's, but I was not looking at that gun specifically, but they had quite a few to choose from so I would say your chances are good.
  23. I am an insurance agent in the Nashville area. Most homeowners policies cover guns and related equipment up to $2000 for no additional charge. Most policies will allow you to increase this coverage up to $5000 for an extra fee. You can add coverage on specific guns with an inland marine policy, but that will require you to get a written appraisal. Hope this helps.
  24. I just thought I would share what a great season it was to be a dad. This was my 10 yr old daughter's first season to actually be "shooting". So...I bought her a 20 gauge...tweaked it out...and we hit the woods. The bird was a good bird for her first. 22 lbs...1.25" spurs....the beard had "beard rot" so it was only about 6 inches long. Enjoy.
