  1. dkd83, "Down Range" in Kingston (376-1138) also do the permit class. They do one class per month and they are good folks. I'm pretty sure they do the class for $50 but you can call and check.
  2. Had a P7M8 once upon a time. It was a beautiful pistol but I could never get used to the manual of arms.
  3. I always carry which is tough in sweat pants and sweat shirt. I carry an extra mag whenever my clothing allows. Right now I'm trying to find a good way to carry the mag in sweats.
  4. IWB 3:30 or 1:00, depending on clothing/weather.
  5. I always carry concealed (except on the range). Even when I was an LEO, I always carried concealed (off duty). My understanding was that the law in Tennessee was written as a carry permit vs concealed carry permit so that a permit holder would not be in violation if someone happened to see their firearm (no penalty for inadvertent "flashing" of the pistol).
  6. If it fits well and is a well made holster, it shouldn't be a problem. Test it out for yourself and find out if you are comfortable with it.
  7. Another new guy here. I was a police officer for over 10 years (but no more) and enjoy shooting handguns. I was also in the USAF (long ago). It's great to have a Tennessee forum, kudos to you guys for coming up with this. Looking forward to taking part in the forum. Al
