  1. Dangit - I'm out.  One day I'll make the Rock, or die trying!!!
  2. Ammo prices and availability got me down, along with a busier than usual schedule. This looks like a great match - I hope I can make the schedule work out. You guys might have to remind me which end the bullets come out of...
  3. Hmm - very tempted by this. Where can I read more about the rules? I typically shoot an iron sighted FAL, 870' and Glock model 30. I could shoot a 1911 if a single stack is required for Heavy, but prefer the Glock.
  4. Ha! I think you earned them! Not mine - but glad it got warm enough that people were taking jackets off this year.
  5. Ahh - you are far too considerate, sir!  Shoot them all and get the practice.  I would've stuck around to help score and paste.  It was good to see you shoot a "modern pistol" for once though! :pleased:
  6.   Wait a minute - didn't you shoot only one gun today after stirring all this up???   It was a beautiful day for a Classifier though - and Robert ran a smooth match as always.  Lots of mulitple guns and shooters, and everyone made it through with only a little bit of wailing and gnashing of teeth.  Thanks for all your hard work, Robert and the other RO's!
  7.   Yep - knowing my luck I'll probably shoot worse this year than I did during that classifier.  If it's not muddy, freezing, raining, or broiling I don't think I can shoot...
  8. I'll be there -
  9. It was intended to replace the 1911 - that's "pistol caliber" to me!
  10. Are you thinking the shotgun should be on a single point sling and dropped to hang when transitioning to pistol, or no slings allowed and set the empty shotgun on a table?
  11. Scores are up - thanks Robert! How on earth did Justin get so good so fast?!?!? Someone has been practicing, or I haven't been paying attention...
  12. Will we need #4 shot and full chokes to take out those crazy slanted targets?
  13. Is this thing on? It may just be you and me, Robert.
  14. Me and my Garand will be there! Who else is bringing the old wood?
  15. Thank you, sir - hopefully we'll see a few more Garands at the rifle side match in November!
  16. Like you said - all you had to do was put the pellets on the steel. I'm going to have to practice that a bit more I think...
  17. Brooks knocked it down just fine with a cylinder bore and 7 1/2's, but I couldn't knock it down with an improved cylinder and #6's. Go figure
  18. If you shoot a 3-gun match with a 1919A4 semi-auto you will be EVERYONE's hero. It doesn't even matter what your score is - you'd get a million point handicap for the coolness factor!
  19. Naw - a group of us were talking about all showing up with Garands (unoffically, just for fun) at one of Robert's matches, but I've forgotten which one. I thought I might leave the FAL at home for once and bring a REAL rifle!
  20. Is this the match in which everyone was going to bring Garands, or is that the November match? I don't have a trench gun, but I could do a Garand, GI 1911, and an 870...
  21. I'm thinking since Gallatin was rained out last week this will make a good first match at Dickson for me. We'll see you guys there!
  22. Just curious - I've never shot a "big" match before. How many stages can I expect, and what kind of round count?
  23. You know, he didn't specify - maybe that was the trick!
  24. That was really too bad - Sean said he was going to so it in 88 seconds, with zero down. I would have liked to have seen that! ;-)
